Thanks for advising me to get this for my Delta Shower. My husband was mad I purchased our shower without HIS help...so I was thrilled when my plumber told him I had EVERYTHING to complete my shower installation. Solid Product
Delta has been a leader in quality products for decades. As usual, this is another one. Instructions are good for the Do-It-Yourself crowd. The main reason I purchased this product was its ability to give me adjustments for both water temperature and the force of the shower stream. Many valve bodies today do not allow both.

Very good rough-in valve.
The valve is a good quality item. It can be used in more than one way which makes it convenient for the customer. The valve was easy to install has a mounting bracket attached which is not on all rough in valves makes install much easier for installer. Would buy this item again.

This is a universal pressure balance valve. I love this product because it truly is UNIVERSAL with any delta trim sets! It is extremly simple to install and even more simple to operate. I highly suggest using this valve when you are remodeling your bathroom.

Replacing Rough Valve in old wall
The product was fine, and the final result was good. I was replacing a 70-year old shower valve that was leaking, motivated by a desire to upgrade to a modern cartridge type. I wish I had paid more attention to physical dimensions of the new valve. With the (well-built) thickness of my existing plaster/tile wall, the valve wouldn't protrude far enough into the shower side of the wall. With a lot of chiseling of concrete, I finally got the job done. If such a longer-throat valve exists, it would have made the job a lot easier. If you have an older, thicker wall, look for such a valve.

The item was exactly what it was supposed to be, just be certain it meets the code for your area. I had to go out and buy a different model locally because the local code required the screws that allow for shut off at the valve.

Replace old ball style valve with this. Housing appears to be heavy duty brass that will last longer then I will. This is 2nd one I have used, so I'm plesed with it. Would buy agqain.

Good product, better supplier
The Delta valve and cover are certainly acceptably good products, though the instructions for setting the water temperature are both poorly written and hidden in an arcanely designed PDF file (not at all available in the written matter with packaged with the product). That is, you have to go online to Delta and search for the proper product insturctions and then ... good luck.

Works great
Nice anti-scald feature allows you to adjust the maximum hot water flow. Easy to position, as they give you plenty of room for error with relation to the finished surface level of the wall. I did have a plumber install this for me; I don't do soldering...

Well-Designed Valve
This is a substantial, well-designed valve compared to the 20 year-old old one I broke trying to repair a dripping faucet. Soldered copper connections were easily installed (by a pro plumber), and the faucet cartridge, handles, and trim attached according to instructions with no problems.

Thank you for your question. The RP22734 is the bonnet nut/ring that holds the valve cartridge assembly in the Delta Universal MultiChoice Rough-In R10000-UNWS-3 valve assembly.

what is the replacement cartrige for R1000-UNWS-3?
Thank you for your inquiry, Charlie! The Delta MultiChoice Universal Rough-In R10000-UNWS-3 valve does not come with a valve cartridge assembly. The trim kit that is selected to be installed with this rough-in valve will include the valve cartridge assembly.

do the delta rough in valves (R10000-UNBX) contain lead?

Temp adjustment for R10000-UNWS
I just had a bathroom remodel completed and they didn't adjust the valve correctly (I guess) as I don't get any hot water. I looked at the video but didn't recognize any of the valves used. The trim kit I have is a Linden, T14294RB.

Thank you for contacting us. On a new installation, you may need to adjust the Rotational Limit Stop to get hot water. Please see our How-To Video linked below or refer to your installation guide for help adjusting the stop.

What is the flow rate of the R-10000UNWSHF ? I want to use it as a tub filler only.
What trims can I use with this valve to get the most flow?

Thank you for your question! At 60 PSI, a wall-mount tub faucet will run at 5.6 gallons per minute or more, depending on the trim and valve you choose. Here is the flow rate comparison information.
R10000-HF(60PSI)(80PSI)
13/14 7.3gpm 8.6gpm
17 6.7gpm 7.8gpm
17T 9.4gpm 10.7gpm
For large tubs, we recommend to use a deck-mount or floor-mount tub filler.
