Rated 5 out of 5 by from Valve for shower bathroom No. 1 My plumber loved installing the Delta R10000-UNWSHF in my newly remodeled bathroom. I watched him wrap the white plumber tape around the fittings and bravo...shower works great and thankful that he used DELTA rough-in Valve.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A few issues with trim kit - not the body Pretty straight forward install with two issues and it has to do more with the trim kits. Valve body itself was well made and worked as stated

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought the Delta 17 series for its reputation and quality only to be very disappointed. First thing the carriage was bad and had to be replaced. After replacing it only to find that the mixing Valve was broken and it had to be replaced. It seemed as the unit I purchased was a second. Needless to say next time I will have my plumber do the purchasing for me. Way over priced for the value.

Any limitation as to how far this valve can be from the 6 setting diverter, Delta R11000, Delta T11953? We are planning to put the valve at entrance to shower maybe 5 or 6 feet away from where jets/shower head would be and want to put the diverter there

Asked by: ray r
Hi, Ray R! Thank you for your question. The Diverter valve, R11000 and trim kit, T11953 can be installed anywhere you desire. There is no measurement limitations for where the diverter valve/trim kit should be. Best Regards, Rosanna

I installed R10000-UNWSHF Rough in. I am using Schluter Kerdi board and the Schluter mixing valve seal for both my rough in and diverter rough in. Can the Delta Plaster guard be removed, the Schluter mixing valve seal will be superior for leak prevention.

Asked by: Roman1
Hello Roman1, Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta MultiChoice Universal Rough-In Valve R10000-UNBX contains a plasterguard that is used in aiding the installation of your faucet. It is not necessary to the functionality of the faucet. If you choose not to use the plastergaurd as a guide to cut the hole, please make sure that the hole is large enough to access the screw holes for the trim plate. Best regards, Tanya

Cabin is unheated in winter; all plumbing must be drained to prevent freezing. My old valve drains perfectly when the supply lines are drained and the valve handles are opened. What is needed to drain a suitable Delta valve installed in this rough-in?

Asked by: ShowerinTahoma
Hi Tahoma, Thank you for your inquiry! To drain the Delta MultiChoice Rough-In R10000-UNWSHF valve for the winter season, we would recommend closing both stops and removing the valve cartridge assembly (that comes with the trim kit). Best regards, Tanya

Shower valve was roughed in too far out of wall and cover plate hits stems on shutoffs . Are other cover plates available to compensate for this ?Thanks !

Asked by: Steve A
Thank you for your question, Steve. We recommend installing the valve with the stringer 2 3/4" from the finished wall. If it is installed too far forward, you can close the stops up to 3 turns from the open position without a noticeable reduction in flow rate. This should allow an additional 1/8" of clearance for the escutcheon. However, we do not make an escutcheon that is designed to compensate for the installation issue. Best regards, Jon

Will this valve work with PTT188742 or BT13210?

Asked by: Abe
Dear Abe, Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta MultiChoice Universal Rough-In R10000-UNBXHF valve will work with the Delta Foundations Shower Trim BT13210. However, you would need the Peerless Rough-In Valve PTR188700-UN in order to install the Peerless Shower Trim PTT188742. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-B-BT13010%20Rev%20F.pdf https://media.peerlessfaucet.com/SpecSheet/PSP-B-PTT188742%20Rev%20C.pdf Best regards, Tanya

hot and cold water reversed , how i can fix it ?

Asked by: Darren
Hi, Darren! Thank you for your question. The valve cartridge assembly in the valve body maybe the issue. Turn your water off at the shut off valve. Remove your handle and unscrew your bonnet nut. Pull the cartridge straight out. When the cartridge is out of the valve body, turn the cartridge around 180 degrees. Reinstall the valve cartridge and reinstall all parts. This will now allow cold water to be on first, and then hot water. Best Regards, Rosanna
