Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality valve body Bought it a while ago, glad I finally got to install it. I had to do a little soldering and I put in a couple of shark-bite valves on the cold and hot inputs so that I can shut off and easily work on it in the future. Had to have some kind of coupler anyway. But, back to the point, this valve body looks like it will last a good long time. Only the cartridge will have to be replaced if it wears out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective less than 2 months defective, used for less than 2 months, shower won't turn off, plumber said defective cartridge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Issues No issues with the valve itself. Appears to be high quality. Only flaw I see is the trim kit. The external mounting screws don't seat all the way because the trim kit hole spacing is wider than the valve. Faucets Direct was great to work with and supplied a missing part super fast!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Valve for shower bathroom No. 1 My plumber loved installing the Delta R10000-UNWSHF in my newly remodeled bathroom. I watched him wrap the white plumber tape around the fittings and bravo...shower works great and thankful that he used DELTA rough-in Valve.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A few issues with trim kit - not the body Pretty straight forward install with two issues and it has to do more with the trim kits. Valve body itself was well made and worked as stated

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality This works well. High quality which plumbers are happy about. Would buy again if I had another bathroom to remodel.

What is the difference b/w R10000-UNBX and the R10000-UNBXHF? Obviously, it is the flow-rate, however, can the R10000-UNBXHF be used in conjunction with the R11000 or is the HF rate then irrelevant? Also, what is the max flow rate given @ ~50PSI Vs. 80?

Asked by: Shower Upgrader
Hi, Shower Upgrader! Thank you for your question. The difference for the two units is that the R100000-UNBX has a bottom port for a tub spout installation and the R10000-UNBXHF does not include a bottom port for a tub spout installation. Both units can be used with the R11000 diverter rough. The flow rate is determined when the trim kit is selected. For further assistance with this, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358. We are available Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm, CST and Saturday, 8am-5pm, CST. Shower only setup. During a remodel, I installed the R10000-UNBX. Does the UNBX restrict flow and pressure as the flow thru this new valve is terrible. Would flow/pressure be better had I used the UNBXHF? Good flow/press. before remodel.

Asked by: matt
Hi, Matt! Thank you for your question. Plugging the bottom port of the MultiChoice R10000-UNBX will give the same flow rate as the R10000-UNBXHF. There is no flow difference. Best Regards, Rosanna

Can you run an overhead rain shower and a handshower at the same time with this valve. Client has a 1994 manifold plumbing system.

Asked by: D Vaughn
Hello D Vaughn, Thank you for your inquiry! To run a shower head and hand shower, you can use an R11000 rough-in valve and a corresponding 3-Setting Diverter Trim Kit. This will allow you to divert water to either shower head or both. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/R11000 The volume and temperature will be controlled by the R10000-UNBXHF valve. Best regards, Tanya

Why is this a shower only valve? What about it makes it not suitable for a tub flling? Is there another valve that you would suggest for this type of application?

Asked by: smarty
Hi Smarty, Thank you for your question. The Delta MultiChoice Universal High-Flow Shower Valve R10000-UNBXHF is designed for a shower only and is not suitable for a tub installation, due to there not being a bottom port for connection. This valve only has the (3) hot/cold and shower connection ports. You would want the Delta MultiChoice Universal Rough-In Valve R10000-UNBX for a tub and shower installation. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/R10000-UNBX Best regards, Tanya

Any limitation as to how far this valve can be from the 6 setting diverter, Delta R11000, Delta T11953? We are planning to put the valve at entrance to shower maybe 5 or 6 feet away from where jets/shower head would be and want to put the diverter there

Asked by: rayr
Hi, Ray R! Thank you for your question. The Diverter valve, R11000 and trim kit, T11953 can be installed anywhere you desire. There is no measurement limitations for where the diverter valve/trim kit should be. Best Regards, Rosanna
