Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy ordering and exactly what we needed I was happy to find a kit with all of the pieces I needed for our bathroom in one place, and especially grateful that I did not have to think hard about which valves were needed. Having all the parts ready in one package was wonderful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 thumbs up This is my favorite rough in valve. The built in shutoffs are super convenient in the installation process, but also, if the cartridge ever needs to be cleaned or worked on, you can shut off the water right at the valve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked well, easy to install We got the one without the bottom fitting for the tub as it's just a shower and this made for one less fitting to solder. It's described as a high flow but that was one disappointment with the delta system is the flow is a little low. I think hand held/fixed shower head combo is the problem. I'm going to check it to see if there's a flow reducer that I can remove or drill out.

Can PEX be used with the R10000-UNWSHF valve?

Asked by: RHStep
Thank you for your question, RHStep! You may connect PEX tubing to the Delta MultiChoice Universal R10000-UNWSHF valve with the correct adapters. Best regards, Tanya

Can this be used with the Delta T17238 Lahara Monitor 17 Series Dual Function Pressure Balanced Shower Trim ? This is the one that Build.com has supplied and making sure it is the right one. We will also have Delta 57014-RB with this set.

Asked by: Julie
Thank you for your question, Julie! This valve will work with the T17238 Trim Kit. You will also need a diverter to switch flow between the shower head and hand shower. There are a couple of diverter options. The first is an in-wall diverter. For this, you will need the R11000 Rough-In Valve and a T11_ Diverter Trim Kit to match your shower valve trim. You will also need a supply elbow for the hand shower hose, such as the 50560. The second option is to use a shower arm diverter, such as the U4923-PK or U4929-PK. Best regards, Jon

what is the main difference between valve UNBXHF and UNWSHF?

Asked by: Allen
Thank you for your inquiry, Allen! The Delta MultiChoice Universal Rough-In Valve R10000-UNWSHF is a With Stops (WS) version, meaning that it has supply shut off valves integrated into the valve. The model R10000-UNBXHF does not have stops. Best regards, Tanya

Can this HF valve be connected to the T11953 3/6 diverter and one of the 3 diverter ports be used to fill the bathtub?

Asked by: Andy
Hi, Andy! Thank you for your question. The Delta MultiChoice Universal R10000-UNWSHF Rough Valve Body can be connected to the Delta T11953 3/6 Diverter Assembly. However, we do not recommend to install a tub spout assembly to the diverter body as it will not have a positive shut off when using the shower faucet. Best Regards, Rosanna

hot and cold water reversed , how i can fix it ?

Asked by: Darren
Hi, Darren! Thank you for your question. The valve cartridge assembly in the valve body maybe the issue. Turn your water off at the shut off valve. Remove your handle and unscrew your bonnet nut. Pull the cartridge straight out. When the cartridge is out of the valve body, turn the cartridge around 180 degrees. Reinstall the valve cartridge and reinstall all parts. This will now allow cold water to be on first, and then hot water. Best Regards, Rosanna

Is there a Brass trim kit that works with the Delta R10000-UNWSHF? Thanks

Asked by: Remodeler
Hello Remodeler, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we no longer manufacture Polished Brass finished shower or tub/shower units for the Delta Multichoice Universal Rough-In R10000-UNWSHF valve . However, our Champagne Bronze finish would be the closest. Best regards, Tanya

Shower valve was roughed in too far out of wall and cover plate hits stems on shutoffs . Are other cover plates available to compensate for this ?Thanks !

Asked by: Steve A
Thank you for your question, Steve. We recommend installing the valve with the stringer 2 3/4" from the finished wall. If it is installed too far forward, you can close the stops up to 3 turns from the open position without a noticeable reduction in flow rate. This should allow an additional 1/8" of clearance for the escutcheon. However, we do not make an escutcheon that is designed to compensate for the installation issue. Best regards, Jon

What is the intended use for the STOPS included in the R10000-UNWSHF valve?

Asked by: JBB303
Hi, JBB303! Thank you for your question. The stops on the Delta MultiChoice Universal R10000-UNWSHF Rough Valve Body is used to turn the water supply to the valve off instead of having to turn the water supply off for the whole home. Best Regards, Rosanna

Asked by: FayMutton
Hi, FayMutton! Thank you for your question. The Delta MultiChoice R10000-UNWSHF rough valve is not a diverter assembly. We recommend the R11000 diverter valve to work along side of the rough valve. Best Regards, Rosanna

What are the differences between the R10000-UNWSHF, and the R10000-UNBXHF and what are the flow rates for each?

Asked by: purple lizzard
Hi Purple Lizzard, Thank you for your question! The R10000-UNWSHF and UNBXHF are both high flow valves the R10000-UNWSHF just include screw driver stops to shut the water off directly at the valve. The flow rates of both are the same. The flow rate that comes out of the unit depends on the trim you chose. Here is the flow rate comparison information. Regular R10000 (60PSI ) (80PSI) R10000-HF(60PSI) (80PSI) 13/14 6.3gpm 7.3gpm 7.3gpm 8.6gpm 17 5.6 gpm 6.4gpm 6.7gpm 7.8gpm 17T 7.0 gpm 8.0gpm 9.4gpm 10.7gpm Best regards, Brandis

HOW TO GET HOT WATER TO FLOW? WATER JUST BARELY GETS WARM

Asked by: Gene
Thank you for your inquiry, Gene! The Delta trim will have a Rotational Limit Stop that can be adjusted to increase the maximum temperature. Each series (13/14, 17, and 17T) has a different way to adjust the stop. Please refer to the Installation Instructions for the trim kit that you chose. Best regards, Tanya

Will the high flow shower only valve body (R1000-UNBXHF) have a higher flow than the pex crimp connections valve body (R1000-PX) with the bath filler outlet sealed off? I.e., does the high flow version have a different internal shape for more water flow?

Asked by: Abel
Thank you for your question, Abel! The R1000-UNBXHF is capable of producing approximately 7.6 gpm, or 28.8L/min at 40 psi versus 6.4 gpm, 24.4 L/min found on an R10000-PX rough at the same flow rate using a TempAssure Trim. High flow valves do not include a tub spout port for a high flow rate. Best regards, Edward

What is the OUTPUT pressure of the #R10000-UNWSHF? It claims to be "high flow" but I cannot find that specification anywhere - not ever your website.

Asked by: Skeeter
Hello Skeeter! Thank you for your question regarding Delta Faucet Model R10000-UNBX! I am happy to help. The 5.8 GPM flow rate is the output of the R10000 valve assembly. This would refer to the tub spout only. The highest flow from any Delta Showerhead is 2.5 GPM which would be the most you could get in your Delta shower Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance. Best Regards, Antoine

Asked by: ShowerinTahoma
Hi Tahoma, Thank you for your inquiry! To drain the Delta MultiChoice Rough-In R10000-UNWSHF valve for the winter season, we would recommend closing both stops and removing the valve cartridge assembly (that comes with the trim kit). Best regards, Tanya

How flow will this support? I want to run a regular shower head, rain head, body sprayers and a hand shower. Worried only one valve will be enough, I will be using a diverter but that will also limit what options we want to run at the same time.

Asked by: jgshier
Hello Jgshier, Thank you for your question. To install your 2 independent shower heads, Body sprays (4 on one circuit) and a hand shower you would need two of the Delta MultiChoice Rough-In Valve R10000-UNHF and a Delta 3 / 6-Setting Diverter Rough-In Valve R11000. The flow rate is determined by the shower trim you use. A 13/14 series will give you 8.6 GPM, a T17 series will give you 7.8 GPM, and a T17T series will give you 10.7 GPM all at 80 PSI. Is there a 3/4" version of the R10000UNWSHF valve? What is it's best case flow rate?

Asked by: Frank
Hi Frank, Thank you for your question. The R10000-UNWSHF is not available in a 3/4" pipe size. The best flowrate is achieved by using a trim with a thermostatic cartridge. At 60 PSI the valve will flow at 7.74 gallons per minute using a T17 thermostaic trim and the R10000-UNWSHF rough. Thanks, Dave
