Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its in the details! The quality of this product is worth every penny! Its solid cast and machined for a precise fit. You can sweat directly to it without the fear of damaging seals or valves. All of the internal valves are installed after the rough in stage. Another nice feature are temporary test plugs that are installed so you can pressurize the system and check for leaks. Leave these in place until you are ready to install the valves and trims. It will keep any dust & dirt out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rough valve body and 6way valve The template enclosed with the rough valve and jetted spray-six valve is useless and will even mislead you. The template calls for two inch separation between mixer valve and selector valve. When you do this the cover plate for the lower valve intrudes into the space for the cover and body spray escutcheon unit..I had to open wall and separate these two valves. A real aggravation in loss of time ans expense.

Q&A

I want to install a hand shower along with this jetted shower valve, do I need a diverter as well?

I want to install T-17278-RBH2O and 57021-RB along with the jet model T18037-RBXO. Do I need to purchase a separate diverter and trim to operate the hand shower? If not, what will control the operation of the hand shower? Will this run continuously?
Asked by: Levi
Hi Levi, Thank you for your question. You will not need a separate diverter and trim as the T18037-RBXO when combined with the R18000-XO rough in will give you a 6 position diverter. This diverter will allow you to use the fixed showerhead, handshower, and body jets individually, or in pairs. You will also need a wall elbow for your 57021-RB slide bar handshower installation. Thanks, Dave

Is the jetted shower rough valve in the R18000-XO the same as the individual jetted shower rough valve R1827-XO?

We are installing the T17094-SS valve trim with the R10000-UNBXHF. We are also installing the T18037-SSXO jetted module diverter trim. Do we need to get the R18000-XO kit? Or can we use the R1827-XO as the jetted rough valve in conjunction with the R10000-UNBXHF that we are using with the shower valve trim? Thank you!
Asked by: IPS Remodel
Hi, IPS Remodel! Thank you for your question. You can use the R1827-XO or the R18000-XO kit. Both will work with the T18037-SSXO. Best Regards, Rosanna

Is the bottom valve body flow rate equivalent to the regular flow R10000-UNBX rough, or the high-flow R10000-UNBXHF rough, or is it unique?

The bottom rough valve looks similar to the R10000-UN* valves. There are regular and high-flow versions of that rough-in valve (R10000-UNBX and R10000-UNBXHF, for instance). Is the flow rate through the bottom valve of this assembly the same as the regular or the high-flow R10000-UN* valve? Or is it different from both of the R10000-UN* valves?
Asked by: AndrewG
Dear AndrewG, Thank you for your question. The bottom valve of the Delta MultiChoice Universal Jetted R18000-XO valve is the same as the Delta MultiChoice Universal Rough-In valve R10000-UNBX. The maximum flow will depend on the water pressure in the home. At 60 PSI, the 17T series with this valve will provide up to about 6.7 gallons per minute. The diverter will allow about 5 gallons per minute per individual port. The actual flow rate will vary by shower component. Best regards, Tanya

Tub/shower with 2 shower heads and body jets

What diverter would we need to operate a tub/shower unit with another shower head and two jetted shower trims. In total we will be operating the tub separately, operating the shower heads and body jets all together or separate at times.
Asked by: Nanner
Hi Nanner, Thank you for your question! You can use this valve with the T18037-XO or T18017-XO diverter trim in order to operate the two shower heads and body jets. Water will flow to the bottom port of the valve to tub spout first. You can then divert the water to the 6-setting diverter, where it can be transferred to one or two of the showering components (A, AB, B, BC, C, AC). https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/T18037-XO https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/T18017-XO Best regards, Jon

We had the bronze version of MODEL#: T18230-XO but it is discontinued. What other shower systems fit this kit?

Asked by: KW22
Hi KW22, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet R18000-XO. Unfortunately, our jetted shower trim kits are discontinued. We don't carry a replacement for the T18230-XO trim kit. The R18000-XO jetted shower rough includes an R10000-UN multichoice tub/shower rough. This tub/shower rough can be used with a 13, 14, 17, or 17T series trim kit. But the jet part of the R18000-XO would need to be removed or plugged. Please contact us directly if you have any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan Digital Communications Specialist

Hi Delta, We have the R18224 with the T1824 Trim, and need to replace the R18224. It looks like this R18000-XO is the replacement. Do we need to buy the stem (RP22513, RP34787, RP22734, RP3789) and cartridge (Part#?) also? Thanks, Daryl

Asked by: Daryl
Hello Daryl, Thank you for the question, I am happy to help. Unfortunately the old trim will not fit on the new valve properly, and the 1800 trim has been discontinued. We recommend going with a R10000-UNBX and a T17 Series trim kit instead. Please contact us back for any further questions or concerns. Best Regards, Nicole
