I'm a long-time Delta buyer!
I use this Delta R4700 rough-in valve very often. I typically always select Delta and Brizo for all of my plumbing fixtures, and after using this rough-in valve multiple times, I remain a loyal Delta fan. The quality, price and finish of Delta faucets and other products just can't be matched. I never have warranty calls for Delta products and have never been sorry to use one of their fixtures.

Hi, I am wondering what is the difference between the r4700-fl vs r4700-flws
Thank you for your question, ejvv! The model R4700-FLWS has supply shut offs, which allow you to turn the water off directly at the valve during installation of the trim or repair. It also has 1/2" NPT female inlets, whereas the R4700-FL has 1/2” sweat connections.

what is the tub filler flow rate

Thank you for your question! The tub filler should run at least 6 gallons per minute at 60 PSI. However, the exact flow rate will be determined by the trim kit that you use. Please refer to the Technical Specifications under the "Documents and Specs" tab on the product page for the trim kit you will be using.

What size and thread type are the 4 mounting screws
Hi Zac,
Thank you for your question. The subfloor mounting screw threads are a #8-15 x 1.25".
The trim mounting bolts come in 2 different lengths, 1/4-20 x 2.32" and 3.70".

will the R4700-FLWS floor valve work with a Senlesen floor tub faucet?

I see from the instructions that it is mounted with the plasterguard in place. Cut it off when installing filler?
It is attached the the rough so I was wondering if it stays on and I cut it off when installing the filler trim.
Yes, right before you install the trim, cut off the plastic shield even with the floor. I used a utility knife and it cut fairly easy.

Hot Water Adjustment
We have the R4700-FLWS with stops and there is not enough hot water. Can the faucet be adjusted to increase the hot water?
Thank you for your question, Greg. Some Tub Filler trims have a Rotational Limit Stop. Please refer to page 7 of the instructions linked below. Please also make sure that the supply stop on the hot side is fully open.
