Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality issue with mounting holes and screws. One mounting hole was not properly bored out such that none of the provided screws fit in it. One of the mountain screws has a head to large to fit in any mounting hole.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a long-time Delta buyer! I use this Delta R4700 rough-in valve very often. I typically always select Delta and Brizo for all of my plumbing fixtures, and after using this rough-in valve multiple times, I remain a loyal Delta fan. The quality, price and finish of Delta faucets and other products just can't be matched. I never have warranty calls for Delta products and have never been sorry to use one of their fixtures.

Q&A

What is the flow rate on this valve?

I cannot find the flow chart anywhere on the specs or installation documents.
Asked by: JessiL
Hi JessiL, Thank you for your question. The flow rate for the R4700-FLWS is determined by the faucet trim placed on it. The flow rate for the faucet is 6 gpm @ 60 psi. Thanks, Dave

Is there a "hard stop" at full open on the FLWS shutoffs? I'm used to 1/4 turn shutoffs, do not want a geyser if I back out the stems too far.

Asked by: Mill Rat
Thank you Rosanna. Please then consider revising the instrucrions to read something like "The stop valves should be opened no more than X full turns." Where X is the number of turns at which the stem is at risk of being launched out of tbe valve body. Mill Rat

How far from a finished wall must the valve be positioned?

Hi, Johnpal! Thank you for your question. We do not have a suggested measurement between the wall and Delta R4700-FLWS. We leave this decision up to the installer/end user of the faucet to determine what is best for their bathroom installation. Best Regards, Rosanna

What is the difference between this R4700-FLWS and the R4700-FL? The freestanding tub filler needs to be mounted on concrete subfloor. Thank you.

Asked by: Gleneages
Hello Gleneages, Thank you for your question. The R4700-FLWS has supply stops that allow you to shut off the water at the valve during installation. It also will accepts threaded supply connections. The R4700-FL does not have stops and requires soldering. These are the only rough-in valves for our freestanding tub fillers. Please know that all of our products meet or exceed industry standards for performance and safety. Best regards, Tanya
