Yes, It Is That Bad. Looks Nice, Terrible to Use.
Unfortunately I purchased this dispenser before reading the terrible reviews. One star ratings are not unfounded. The way the pump sits in the base is absurdly loose, and I do mean it just sits there. It wobbles around at the slightest touch. There is no meaningful contact between the pump body and the bore of the base. I think somebody quit halfway through designing this and they just had the new guy rush it to production. Fortunately I got this thing way under retail (gee, wonder why?), and I'll be able to modify it to work fine, but if I had paid anywhere near MSRP I would be livid. Comically bad.
I give it a generous two stars for sturdy metal construction of the base and head, and because it matches nicely with my Brizo faucet. God forbid I got a Brizo dispenser, which appears to be this same product at double the price.

‘Works’ but design could be better
I wish these devices were taller and with a longer reach! It works, but barely clears the sink lip! This was the best solution I found, but clearly the designers never actually road tested these !

Poor fit and finish
I bought this soap dispenser because of the reputation of Delta faucets. The top of the dispenser sits on top and dose not screw in. Because of this it is super wobbly and feels like it's broken.
The arm is also very short, and just barely reaches over the edge of the sink from a standard 2" hole.

Obviously, you have heard many complaints about the soap dispenser and surely your engineers can figure out how to repair or replace it. All I read is a "Thank you". How about a solution?

Just don't!
I think this is a meaningful review because I have now had Delta faucets and more in champagne gold for 2 years - of which they have been used for 10 months. They look great out of the box but I have never (owed 8 different homes) had anything so difficult to maintain. They show ever spot and just a wipe won't clean them up like it would on brushed nickel. It takes scrubbing with "pink" to get them back to a shine. If all my accents weren't in gold, I'd get rid of these in a heart beat. Pretty - yes. Fuctional - yes. Easy to maintain - NO NO NO. If you want this finish be prepared to clean after every use.

Horrible-buyer beware
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was expecting so much more from Delta, but this one takes the cake. The soap top part does not screwing it just sits on the top of the head and loosely spins around. You can find another brand much cheaper with a better quality.

Nah just as everyone else says, the ‘head’ doesn’t secure down into the tube and just spins around and is wobbly. For the price, I bought Delta expecting quality. There are plenty of better options for much cheaper

Pump top rocks back and forth
Compared to our previous version (made by Kohler), this is a piece of junk. The top is not stable -- it rocks back and forth when you depress it. Very annoying. Very poor quality for the price and brand.

Learn from my mistake
As a plumber I expected a good product from Delta. However this soap dispenser has to be the biggest piece of junk I've ever installed. Bought an Amazon branded soap for my garage for fraction of the price that exceeded Deltas. Definitely will reevaluate my future Delta purchases.

Look away, loose and spins.
Bought to match my trinsic kitchen faucets. Cheaply made, dispenser does not lock into place and simply sits on top on the unit, spinning easily. Solution: rubber O Ring helps to secure the top to the base. It’s not perfect but it helped to stabilize the dispenser from spinning all over the place. You could literally flick with your finger and it would spin around and around. Very disappointed with Delta on this model. Delta, you can do better!

Disappointing
This was professionally installed 31 days ago. The soap dispenser rotates 360 degrees which is not like the display model at the Plumbing Supply House. We went back after installation and verified it didn’t rotate. Spent 40 minutes on the Delta Customer Service phone waiting (only to get disconnected). Went to the Q/As and it says that’s 360degree rotation is normal. Then, we see in another question the replacement bottle is discontinued. Is this the new Delta faucet company? We are extremely disappointed.

Great, but needs a hose kit.
These soap dispensers are a great match for the Trinsic faucets. I put in two: one for hand soap and one for dish soap, to keep clutter off the countertop.
Re: hose. It never fails, each time I try to fill these by pouring in soap from the top, it overflows and makes a mess. I wish they came with a hose/ tubing that you could place in a large bottle of soap in the cabinet underneath.

is there another part or instructions on how to prevent it from spinning freely? I am an interior designer and spec Delta product alot so i ordered the same product for myself and i do not care for this spinning.
