Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Exact Part I needed This was the exact part I needed. It's getting harder to find these, so having found it, it being exactly the right part, and being in stock for immediate shipment was just perfect for me. It came in sooner than I expected and slipped right into place. And once again, the shower is working.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not last... I purchased DELTA RP10799 for my rental.. 1st one failed after a month. The Plumbing supply house replaced it as I had the invoice but the supply house is over 20 miles away.. I went to 3 plumbing supply places before I found a place that stocked it. Renter emailed me today. It seems it failed again.. If these things are failing afterr 2-3 months.. Something is wrong.. the original and th e1st replacement the big black rubber "band" that blocks flow to tub or shower failed.. Delta needs to address why diverter lasted fo ryears adn years and now 2 have failed in 3-4 months.. Other customer has complained as well..

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not last Diverter fits fine with my old Delta shower but the large rubber piece at the bottom broke after less than a month of use. Worried about the quality and hesitant to spend another $20 on a new piece.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from To work, modified replacement to be like original. This part did not work until I drilled holes in the plastic to feed water to the end which supplied the shower; additional holes drilled in the middle braces also helped. Without the holes in the shower-feed, there was a small flow to the shower but also significant water hammer. I drilled the holes after comparing the replacement part with the original broken part to make the replacement part work more like the original.

I have an 15-year old Delta tub with a hand-held shower and a diverter handle. this valve is similar, but not identical. The one I have is 3" long and doesn't have the bottom o-ring. Will this work as a replacement?

Asked by: Jack
Thank you for your question Jack! The only other diverter for a three handle unit would be the RP17730 Diverter Assembly. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have questions or need further assistance. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/RP17730 Best regards, Edward

Of the replacement part RP 10799, is there a certain way it goes in? does the side knub stay in 9PM, 3pm or 12 oclock postion? do you have a manual/install guide or video installation online? (youtube?)

Asked by: Andrew
Thank you for your question, Andrew! Unfortunately we do not have a How-To Video that addresses a three handled 2800 series shower trim; however, we are more than happy to help. The raised portion, or stop, of this diverter assembly should face to the right side or the 3 o'clock position. Best regards, Edward

IS THIS DIVERTER USED IN THE 2600 SERIES THREE-HANDLE BATH VALVES?

DIVERTER RP10799
Asked by: JACK937
Hi Jack937, Thank you for your question! If your 3 handle faucet is a Delta product and it was manufactured before 1990, then the RP21598 and RP10799 diverter assemblies will fit the valve body. If your 3 handle faucet is a Delta product and it was manufactured after 1990, then the RP17730 diverter assembly will fit the valve body. If you are installing the correct diverter assembly and your faucet is still not functioning properly, then the valve body itself may be damaged and it will need to be replaced. Best regards, Brandis

Determing correctet Delta Diverter

have older 3 handle delta tub shower faucet. Need to replace diverter as it only moves about 50% of water from tub spigot to showerhead. Rubber on current diverter is split. I can't supply you with model numbers. Current diverter is round on the diverter end. Found replacement diverter Danco 7s-10D (15607B) at local building center but diverter end is oval. I see models RP10799 and RP17730 on online searches. Can you advise please? Thanks!
