Q&A

The Delta faucet in my tub is leaking. It's over 25 years old. Is there washers inside the faucet to be replaced and how hard a job is it ?

Asked by: Bob 86
Hi Bob 86, Thank you for your question! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing with a tub leak. We are happy to help! A leak while off is typically caused by wear or damage to the rubber seats RP4993 inside the faucet valve. For a 600 series faucet, the seats and springs are located behind the ball assembly. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/33778_v1.pdf For a 1300/1400 series, the seats and springs are located in the legs of the cartridge. https://support.deltafaucet.com/s/article/My-1300-1400-Series-Monitor-is-leaking-from-the-shower-head-or-spout-What-do-I-need-1628028367129 For a 1700 series, the seats and springs are located behind the cartridge. I recommend RP28603 which also includes replacements for the quad seals. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/37744RevF.pdf Please reach out for further assistance or with any additional questions!
