Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Change I have read previous review, and I am seeing similar issues, I replaced the same faucet with a new that had worked for a number of years. I initially thought that I was not installing properly, but I cannot get the new faucet to stop leaking, I wasted $40 at Ace, now I am looking for a different option.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No set screw for a 80 diverted basic faucet Didn’t come with set screw and ahit straight off the pipe! Can only replace delta with delta and they can’t even make their own stuff work with the items that are out in by contractors. So annoyed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ours has lasted. We have had ours for 27 years and only now do we need to replace it. I’m looking for the part and hoping the newer ones last as long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent spout! In the past several months I did some updates to my shower. I recently got a Moen Verso showerhead, and I wanted my Delta valve trim and spout to aesthetically match my showerhead in style. For the valve trim I went with the Delta Modern Series. For the spout, I went with this one with the pull-down diverter. It has a nice modern design that seems to go well with my valve trim and showerhead. It fit right onto my existing Delta adapter with ease. The best part about this spout is that the diverter completely seals while showering, resulting in higher shower pressure. I would definitely recommend this spout if you want to improve your shower pressure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product & service I've had this tub spout 3 yrs and noticed issues with the finish when I removed it to work on the shower grout. After contacting customer service, Daishana handled it smoothly and in a professional and quick manner. The spout has been exceptional with no issues and I highly recommend it, Also, their customer care group is always outstanding!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The diverter allows allot of water to leak My 15 yr old tub spout diverter started squealing and needed replaced. You would think you could access the O-rings inside this reliable spout but I was told it has to be replaced. Got the pull down one and when activated it isn’t stopping the water flow. Please go back to the old 1990 style Delta.

Q&A

can you order the insides of spout.

Asked by: scott fox
Hi, Scott. Thank you for your question. The internal plastic piece for the Delta RP17453 Diverter Tub Spout assembly is not available on it's own. If the part is needed, the whole tub spout would need to be replaced. Best Regards, Rosanna

Do you make a spout with a pull down diverter and threads into the nose

I have a 4 inch nipple i do not want to change. I also want the positive sealing the pull down divertor provides
Asked by: Billi
Hi Bill, Thank you for your question. We do not offer a pull down tub spout diverter that will accept a pipe nipple into the nose of the spout. The pull down spouts use or RP12307 tub spout adapter that threads onto a pipe 5/8" to 1-5/8" from the finished wall. Thanks, Dave

Replacement diverter for 4" threaded pipe

What Delta replacement tub diverter spout do I need to fit onto a 1/2 (inside diameter) copper pipe that protrudes exactly 4" from the wall? At the end of the pipe is a soldered threaded fitting on which the diverter screws directly. The combined distance from the wall of the pipe and the fitting is 4" exactly. The outside diameter of the threaded fitting looks to be about 3/4 inch. The original diverter that must be replaced is chrome metal (not plastic) and has a pull up knob on it. I don't want to cut the pipe or resolder a threaded fitting to a shorter length. thanks in advance.
Asked by: asm
Hi ASM, Thank you for your question. Our RP61357 is a metal diverter tub spout that will thread onto a pipe that is 3-7/8"-4" long. The pipe will thread into the nose of the spout. Thanks, Dave

My diverter won't pull down to turn the water on at the shower head. If I take it off there is an oblong washer that is badly worn that falls out. If I pull the head open & shake the washer back in place it works again. Can I order a new washer?

Delta Tub Spout - Pull down diverter

My delta pull down diverter is leaking. Can I simply replace it with a new RP17453 and keep the old adapter in place or do I need to install a new adapter as well?

Hi Sam, Thank you for your question. You can take a new RP17453 tub spout and screw it on to your existing tub spout adapter. You will not need to install the new adapter. Thanks, Dave

I purchased the rp17454, from Home Depot hrough Mail order. The previous tub spout was attached by set screw.

The existing copper pipe is 1/2 ", a length from the wall to the end of the pipe is 2 5/8". 1) will I have to cut the pipe to a set length? 2) I have never sweated copper pipe, is this my only option to install this tub spout?
Asked by: D&D
Hi D&D, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet models RP17453 and RP17454 attach to the walls in the same way. They can either be sweat onto a 1/2" copper pipe or threaded onto a 1/2" iron pipe. They both include the RP12307 adapter assembly. The only difference between the two models is the RP17453 is non-metallic and RP17454 is metal. Thanks. Jody

Will your RP17453 tub spout with pull-down diverter screw onto my threaded 1/2" copper pipe protruding 4 1/4" from the tub sidewall?

Asked by: Ken
Hi Ken, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the pipe would be too long to install this tub spout. Some tub spout models will list "Thread into nose of spout" in the product features, such as the RP61357. However, the pipe should be 3 7/8 - 4" for these models. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp61357.html Best regards, Jon

What diverter stub out options are available?

I want to buy a Pull Down Diverter, but I have not been able to find if a 3/4" stub out will fit., or what model will fit. I am fairly adept at plumbing but would like to forgo sizing down to a smaller fitting within the wall cavity. Does Delta offer the Pull Down Diverter tub spout with a 3/4" NPT adapter within the unit?
Asked by: C N
Hi Craig, Thank you for your question. None of our pull down tub spout diverters will fit a 3/4" stub out. We offer the U1075-PK and U1011-PK which are pull up style of diverters that will thread onto a 3/4" IPS nipple. Thanks, Dave

How to remove delta tub spout - pull down diverter

It seems ro have a set screw hole in the bottom however there is no set screw to be found. I took a picture of the bottom screw hole and see nothing in there. The spout It isnt s rewing off either. Please help.
Asked by: Mrs. Fix it
Hi Mrs. Fix it, Thank you for reaching out. The hole on the bottom of the spout is a weep hole and does not contain a set screw. This tub spout threads onto an adapter, which connects to 1/2" IPS or sweats onto 1/2" copper. If it seems stuck, there may be sealant between the wall and spout that is preventing it from turning. Delta RP17454 Nipple Length?

The instructions say the pipe should extend from 1/2 to 1 1/4 from the finished wall. My pipe is about 1 5/8 from the wall. It appears to work fine and I can see no leaks. There was plenty of length inside the spout for the o-ring to still seat. Is this acceptable or could there be issues that I am not seeing? Thanks

How many gal per min is delta shower valve

Asked by: Joeyt
Thank you for your question, Joeyt! The available flow rate will depend on the PSI available to the home as well as the trim selection and whether or not this is a tub spout installation only. For example, a standard Delta MultiChoice Universal rough-in such as the R10000-UNBX can produce anywhere between 4.9gpm at 40psi for a tub port only 13/14 series trim up to 9.0gpm at 80psi using the tub port only T17T trim.
