Bad Change
I have read previous review, and I am seeing similar issues, I replaced the same faucet with a new that had worked for a number of years. I initially thought that I was not installing properly, but I cannot get the new faucet to stop leaking, I wasted $40 at Ace, now I am looking for a different option.

No set screw for a 80 diverted basic faucet
Didn’t come with set screw and ahit straight off the pipe! Can only replace delta with delta and they can’t even make their own stuff work with the items that are out in by contractors. So annoyed.

Excellent spout!
In the past several months I did some updates to my shower. I recently got a Moen Verso showerhead, and I wanted my Delta valve trim and spout to aesthetically match my showerhead in style. For the valve trim I went with the Delta Modern Series.
For the spout, I went with this one with the pull-down diverter. It has a nice modern design that seems to go well with my valve trim and showerhead. It fit right onto my existing Delta adapter with ease. The best part about this spout is that the diverter completely seals while showering, resulting in higher shower pressure. I would definitely recommend this spout if you want to improve your shower pressure.

Awesome product & service
I've had this tub spout 3 yrs and noticed issues with the finish when I removed it to work on the shower grout. After contacting customer service, Daishana handled it smoothly and in a professional and quick manner. The spout has been exceptional with no issues and I highly recommend it, Also, their customer care group is always outstanding!

The diverter allows allot of water to leak
My 15 yr old tub spout diverter started squealing and needed replaced. You would think you could access the O-rings inside this reliable spout but I was told it has to be replaced. Got the pull down one and when activated it isn’t stopping the water flow. Please go back to the old 1990 style Delta.

I have copper 1/2 inch pipe with sweat on male end coming from wall approx 4 to 5 inch will the rp17454 fit

This tub spout includes an adapter that can be sweat to 1/2" copper pipe. The adapter distance from the finished wall should be less than 1/4". The RP17454 tub spout includes the same adapter for installation. See the instructions for more information:

I've installed a brand new spout, so there is no lime/calcium deposits. Upon turning off the water, the pull-down diverter snaps back quite heavily and loudly. What can I do to soften the snap back?

Thank you for your question. I apologize if the noise due to the diverter popping back is creating a noise issue for you. Unfortunately there is no advice we can provide as far as dampening the noise as we don't typically hear about this issue. We don't recommend modifying the tub spout as it could potentially damage the product and void your warranty, which we don't want for you.

The adapter that came with this is too small for the threaded pipe. Is there a larger version?

The Delta Faucet part RP17453 Tub Spout - Pull-Down Diverter In Chrome can be sweat onto a 1/2" C.W.T. or thread onto a 1/2" IPS. There are no adapters available for a larger pipe as all Delta Faucet tub spouts require a 1/2" copper or iron pipe.

How do I remove the pull down mesh screen to clean debris out of it?

We would recommend using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water to clean the DELTA Tub Spout. You can put this solution in a bag and secure the bag over the spout to soak for an hour. This will break down any build-up you may have.
