Bad Change
I have read previous review, and I am seeing similar issues, I replaced the same faucet with a new that had worked for a number of years. I initially thought that I was not installing properly, but I cannot get the new faucet to stop leaking, I wasted $40 at Ace, now I am looking for a different option.

No set screw for a 80 diverted basic faucet
Didn’t come with set screw and ahit straight off the pipe! Can only replace delta with delta and they can’t even make their own stuff work with the items that are out in by contractors. So annoyed.

Excellent spout!
In the past several months I did some updates to my shower. I recently got a Moen Verso showerhead, and I wanted my Delta valve trim and spout to aesthetically match my showerhead in style. For the valve trim I went with the Delta Modern Series.
For the spout, I went with this one with the pull-down diverter. It has a nice modern design that seems to go well with my valve trim and showerhead. It fit right onto my existing Delta adapter with ease. The best part about this spout is that the diverter completely seals while showering, resulting in higher shower pressure. I would definitely recommend this spout if you want to improve your shower pressure.

Awesome product & service
I've had this tub spout 3 yrs and noticed issues with the finish when I removed it to work on the shower grout. After contacting customer service, Daishana handled it smoothly and in a professional and quick manner. The diverter allows allot of water to leak
My 15 yr old tub spout diverter started squealing and needed replaced. You would think you could access the O-rings inside this reliable spout but I was told it has to be replaced. Got the pull down one and when activated it isn’t stopping the water flow. Please go back to the old 1990 style Delta.

What is the diameter of the threads on delta model 17453 tub spout? My Delta tub spout broke and I'm trying to use the same adapter that is still there. My broken Delta tub spout has over 1 inch threads that screw onto the adapter.

What size is the thread diameter in this product Already have an adapter on the pipe and wont come off. WIll this fit? Adapter on pipe seems to have an outer diameter of 1" thread.

The Delta RP17453 Tub Spout Assembly is designed to sweat onto a smooth copper pipe extending 2 - 4" from the finished wall, or thread onto a 1/2" IPS nipple extending 5/8 - 1 5/8" from the finished wall. Our Delta RP5836 Tub Spout does slip on to a 1/2" C.W.T. Here is a link to this option:

When I pull down on the faucet water leaks out and the shower head doesn’t throw water out. How would I fix this ?

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP17453.
If water trickles out of the showerhead, the showerhead may be on the pause setting. Change the spray setting or check with the showerhead removed.
Pulling down on the tub spout diverter should stop the flow from the tub spout so that the water goes to the showerhead instead. If the tub spout is not stopping the flow, the tub spout would need to be replaced.

The flow rate will depend on the PSI available to the home as well as the trim selection. For example, a standard Delta MultiChoice Universal rough-in such as the R10000-UNBX can produce anywhere between 4.9gpm at 40psi for a tub port only 13/14 series trim up to 9.0gpm at 80psi using the tub port only T17T trim

Is there a way to fix the pull down deal so the shower will work? Girlfriend is freaking out when I suggested she use a bucket to rinse off. I'm sure there is warranty but in the short term do you have an exploded view?

Our Delta Faucet tub spout RP17453 does not have anything removable to clean blockage or debris, we would recommend to flush the system and soak the tub spout in 50/50 white vinegar and water. I have included flushing instructions below.
1) Remove the handle by loosening the set screw on the side of the base of the handle. The set screw is either an 1/8" or 3/32" allen screw. So you will need to use the appropriate size allen wrench to loosen it. Loosen it just enough to be able to easily pull the handle off. * Note. If there is calcium build-up at the base of the handle it may be necessary to soak it in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Simply saturate the rag with the 50/50 solution, wrap it around the handle base and place a plastic bag over it. I would recommend do this the night before removing the handle.
2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve.
3) Then you will need to remove the bonnet nut. The bonnet nut is the threaded ring at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. You will need a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks.
4) After removing the bonnet nut, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. You may need a small skinny bladed screwdriver to wedge in between the lip of the cartridge and the valve to help start it out.
5) Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body.
6) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let flush for 30 seconds.
7) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled. The Tub/Shower should then have a good flow. If it does not, the cartridge will need to be replaced.

Can I replace a pull down spout with a pull UP spout with a simple swap out?
