Leaking
This shower head has been wonderful. Recently, however, it has started leaking internally. I have tried replacing the o-ring but to no avail. There is as much water coming from around the guard ring as from the nozzles.

Shower head leaks
When our house was being built we selected this model because it had a look and feel of a high quality fixture. It performed well for about 6 1/2 years. In the last week it began to leak from the shower head body. I would estimate about 5 to 10% of the total volume is leaking from the top of the body. To make matters worse I have not been able to find a "rebuild kit" so it appears the only fix is to replace the entire head.

This unit design was flawed
This expensive shower head was installed with other Delta products and is leaking around the adjustment/selection flange. There seems to be know access to inner workings.

Worked fine for the first year then some flow settings stopped working
I have a Master Plumbers License in the State we live in and have used Delta faucets for more than 40 years while practicing the trade. I have recommended the installation of Delta Faucets to customers many times for new and replacement installations and have installed hundreds of them while working in the trade.
We contracted with Re Bath to remodel our bathroom in September 2012. We chose to install this Delta T17T255-SS Victorian Temp Assure shower faucet finish and head in the shower. After three years the faucet still looks great because I wipe it down after each shower, but the shower faucet is hard to turn off and on and the shower head has stopped working on some of the lower flow settings and is harder to adjust. This has been true since it was installed. I have removed the shower head and attempted to clean it but it has done no good. I have had good luck with Delta warranting their products over the years and believe this case will be no different even though I doubt that the contracted ever registered the product. They usually don't. Overall, I would have this unit installed again as I like the way it looks and the finish has held up good.

Great looking. Great pressure and feel of the stream. Everyone loves this shower head, just doesnt last
We have all Delta faucets in our remodeled bathroom and kitchen, (we still have 2 bathrooms to remodel). We love the look and everyone loves how this showerhead feels with the water stream. Unfortunately my husband has fixed the leak numerous times over the years. The finish has also built up hard water stains that is very hard to remove on the control handle flange. I was researching before purchasing another faucet, but since we matched all the towel bars and sink faucet etc, I'm not sure weather to just give it another try or completely change to another brand!!

Can't take it apart to clean
We bought our home 3 years and 4 months ago. This shower head had been installed in our master bathroom and the guest bathroom when renovated just prior to our purchase. The guest bath only been used a few times since we moved in and we have encountered no problems with the head as of yet. The showerhead in our master bath is used daily and for over a year the water has not streamed well at all. I removed the head in order to take it apart and clean the inside but learned that the piece can not be opened up or taken apart. I soaked it in a vinegar solution, but this had no effect. In the past year I have soaked it three different times, but it just never improved. To compound matters, we would turn the little lever on the front ring in order to adjust the water flow and improve the stream, but then we had the problem of the water shooting out from the gap between the lever ring and the body of the shower head.
I did call Delta requesting a manual that would explain how to open up the piece but they sent me a replacement head instead, which I am grateful for.
To tell you the truth, I would feel better if I could just open the piece up like I have done with other shower heads in the past because I fear that I'll have this same problem again eventually.

Installation quick and easy,hope it last longer than previous
I replaced a similar shower head that lasted maybe 10 years. The old showerhead leaked around the head and it wasn't fixable.
I bought this one that had 3 setting instead of the 2 on the previous shower head. It installed easily and no leaks. I registered the new faucet and hope that it works for longer than 10 years.

Warranty replacement - great service and product
We had the product 9 years since the house was built. Seals in the shower head were leaking. i called and a replacement shower head was delivered in less than a week. Works as expected.

This product is attractive and has great features.
We replaced a Delta shower head that we had for over 20 years. We knew that Delta was a good product because of previous experience. So, when we decided to remodel our bathroom we knew that Delta was the way to go. This product is attractive and has 3 different shower settings. The bell shape is what attracted us to this shower head. It was different than the traditional shower head that we had before. The 3 shower settings are an added bonus!

Customer service excellent
I agree with one of the other reviewers. We have three of these shower heads in our home. One developed a leak on the 10th year. The other two are used infrequently and havent experienced any problems. I emailed Delta with a photo of the leaking shower head and they responded by sending a brand new one, no questions asked. As the other reviewer said, not sure how long the new one will hold up (though 10 years is pretty good) but you can't beat Delta's integrity. Will continue to buy Delta products. Excellent company.

This product's durability is under review but the service is superb so there is no risk
My new home came with four of these Delta shower heads along with many other Delta items. I was disappointed that all the ones I used regularly failed (plastic cracked) within 3-4 years. Other reviews here reflect similar experiences. However, Delta's customer support was so impressive that I would not hesitate to recommend any Delta product in the future. They replaced the presumably defective shower heads promptly and the new ones seem great. I can't be certain for a few years if the new ones are more durable, but I am not concerned because I now know they are backed by a great company that stands behind their products. It's hard to say whether I recommend this product, but I can definitely recommend the company.

Product does not last
This shower head was installed little over 5 years ago and for the last 1 1/2 years has leaked around the shower head itself when the water was on. Now I am replacing it at the cost of $117. I agree with another review that there is no repair kit for this shower head and it should have lasted longer than this. Last year I removed it and soaked it in a light vinegar solution to not avail. We have a very good water softener and a excellent filter system on the house water. Not very happy with this product.

This shower has not been used very much and the whole thing just fell apart.

Looks good doesn't last long
I have three and a half baths in my home every fixture is a Delta brand. I have four showerheads and the first has failed in less than five years, and unlike most fixtures that can be repaired with a cartridge kit this one the showerhead has to be replaced and each costs over $100.

I cannot get the plastic filter out of the shower head?
Need to clear the shower head. Cannot get the filter out the the shower head. How is the filter removed?
Thank you for your question. I apologize that you are having issues with your showerhead. However, we do not recommend taking apart your showerhead.
We do recommend soaking a cloth in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and cold water and applying it to the showerhead to loosen the mineral deposits. You may want to soak it overnight.

Can a handheld attachment be added to this shower head?

Thanks for your question.
Unfortunately, you could not add a hand shower to this particular shower head. However, you could get a separate wall mounted hand shower and install a 3 function diverter into the wall which would allow you to operate both the shower head and hand shower at the same time. Alternatively, you could use the U4920-PK as a handshower mount and diverter. You could hook the diverter to the shower arm and thread the shower head to the front of it. This will allow you to switch between the hand shower and shower head.

There is a rubber washer or o ring inside this shower head. How can I get a replacement?
My shower head leaks out the side. An o-ring from the hardware store doesn't fix the problem.

Thank you for your question. The shower head o-ring is not a replaceable part. If the shower head o-ring needs to be replaced, you would have to replace the whole shower head.
