Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this shower head I am updating a bathroom, and have been scouring the sites for a good shower head. Then I remembered my own current shower head (from my last remodel), and reminded myself that I really love this one. It has three spray settings, though I only use one. Guests comment on it as well. The material is lightweight (not brass) but for the price it looks great and functions superbly.

What percentage of the shower head is metal vs plastic?

Our Delta faucets are made of several materials and may depend on which model you have. We can't provide that level of detail every time, and specific amounts are considered proprietary (trade secret). But in general, the faucet may contain: Bronze Brass (36000, 260) (hub, handle, body, tube, fittings) Zinc (escutcheon, hub, handle) Stainless Steel (undercover plate, seat liner, set screw) Copper (tubing) PEX-C (puck and tubing) Silicone (gaskets) Synthetic rubber - EDPM, Santoprene (hoses) Vinyl (hoses) Nylon Plastics Quality is very important to us, and our products undergo rigorous testing to ensure high-quality performance. We have Delta RP48590 Shower Head. Recently most of the water has started to come out between the big cylinder that rotates to change the mode and the smaller cylinder behind. We soaked in a 50% solution of vinegar which did not solve the problem.

I am looking for a shower head that provides a forceful spray. Would the RP48590 work, or are there other models that you can recommend?
