We have what looks like this same shower head. It is about 10 years old and is starting to leak on one setting. We expect that there is a gasket or o ring that needs replacing but can’t see how to take the head apart.

I believe this is the shower head I have attached to a universal Delta slide bar. My hose is leaking where it attaches to the shower head. Is this a solid piece? If I buy this replacement head, which hose do I need to purchase? I do not see hoses here

To first troubleshoot a leak at the hose connection, unscrew the hose to clean and check the gasket is in place. A replacement hand shower hose with gaskets is U495D-60-PK or RP64157.

How do you remove the shower head from the flexible supply hose? You mention cleaning the screen at the attachment point, but can't seem to be able to disconnect head from hose. Thanks.

You will twist the conical nut at the end of the hose (where it attaches to the hand shower) and turn it counterclockwise until it fully unthreads.

Is there a screen filter to filter out mineral grit, to prevent clogging the shower nozzle holes? If so, how is it removed for cleaning? Thanks

We recommend cleaning the hose connection or screen with a toothbrush if needed. For further cleaning, we recommend soaking in a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water.

Is there a nest for this for a tub install, i’ve purchased this and it does not want to stay in the nest properly

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP48769 hand shower.
A hand shower nest for a Roman tub or deck-mounted faucet is RP40665, part of the hand spray support assembly RP40666. See the parts diagram for more information. If a replacement is needed for the finished base that goes over the nest, it is part of the Roman tub trim kit.

How do you adjust the 3 types of water flow?

I recently purchased a RP48769 head, however it doesn't fit in the old angle bracket properly. I have the old style bracket that fits over the bar and slides up and down. Is there a replacement available to fit this shower head? Thanks

Yes, this hand shower is included with the 57014-RB slide bar. Any of our other hand showers can also be used to fit this hose and slide bar mount.

Hi -- we have a Delta 51308 wall bar hand shower unit. We do not like the shower head and would like to replace it with this unit. The RP 48769 unit does not appear to have a male end unlike the 51308. Can I still make the 48769 work with an adapter?
