Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks can be deceiving Me too. MODEL#: RP52153RB Venetian Bronze tub spout is a good looking product; however, it simply fell off when I turned the water on. A few years back we put Delta throughout our new house based on several decades of great past experiences with Delta products. The RP52153RB is an absolute disappointment. It’s only redeeming quality is that it came with a lifetime warranty.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from HOT MESS This part is hot garbage. We had an internal crack in our's 1 yr after installation. It slowing was leaking running acrossed the face of the shower surrounded.Down to the floor. This was after gutting a closet to find it was even related to any pipes or joint connections. Look it up online for replacement. the part is half of what a whole Delta system cost?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Diverters broken I seem to have the same problem as the other reviewers. I have this shower/faucet set in 4 of my bathrooms. New construction in 2013. 3 out of 4 of the diverters are broken. One that still functions was moved to a bathroom that is more frequently used. The other 3 can only be used for baths and not showers. This is a huge inconvenience as I have a large family. Anyways I would love to be able to either replace the diverters if possible or be advised if I need to change out the whole spout. I ordered a spout at one point from Amazon but it was too short for this model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the style I've had this faucet for about 18 years. Finally got it installed 3 years ago after getting the bathroom remodeling completed. Love the style but the diverter is not fully engaging allowing most of the water flow to continue from the faucet instead of the shower head. How hard is it to replace the orings or check to see if the plastic piece inside is broken? I want to keep the faucet. I don't want to change it if I can fix it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from my problem is related to all the others, except My problem is related to all the others, except I have all the pieces. Mine just came apart and fell in the tub. I have collected all the parts and think I have figured out how it works, but can't figure exactly where the o ring goes and how to get the diverter rod with a point on it to go into it's proper place. All I am asking for is a diagram to show me how to reinstall these parts. I do not believe anything is broken, it just came unscrewed and fell apart. Please help me re-install these parts. If you cannot help me put this back together, please send me a new one complete. Mine is chrome

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful Tub Spout but Busted Diverter!! First must acknowledge the beautiful aesthetic of the tub spout! Regarding design, I have had this tub spout for 5+ years and it generally has worked pretty well until recently the diverter broke (rubber washer failed and plastic pieces in diverter are cracking) - just from general use. It has been impossible to find a replacement diverter for this tub spout. As a band-aid fix I replaced the rubber washer with one from a generic diverter kit and that worked OK for awhile but the diverter has regressed to failing again. Please Delta - if this exists (a diverter replacement kit) please let me know how I can purchase it! Thanks!!

finish color

Our tub diverter is in a finish you no longer have: brushed nickel. Does the current finish Brillance stainless steel mean that the finish is shiny? Stainless steel is the closest finish to what we have, but I don't want it to be shiny
Asked by: Mary
Hi Mart, Thank you for your question. Our (SS) brilliance stainless finish is a brushed finish that is comparable to brushed nickel. Thanks, Dave

installation?

What is the installation for this spout? I see 3 methods in file "68882 Rev B.pdf". Which one applies?
Asked by: tbb
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP52153SS can be installed 3 different ways depending on what kind of piping is coming out of the wall. If you have a copper pipe, you can either use it as a slip on spout like illustration number C-1 or you sweat the spout onto the pipe as in illustration C-3. If you have an iron pipe coming out of the wall, then you use illustration C-2.

Model RP52153 Pull-Up Diverter Removal

How is the pull up diverter valve removed to clean mineral deposits?
Asked by: Handyguy8
Hi Handyguy8, Thank you for your question. We do not recommend taking the tub spout diverter apart. Soaking the tub spout in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water should help clean the mineral deposits. Make sure to rinse the spout when done. Thanks, Dave
