Excellent shower head. High flow rate, and good dispersion. Expensive but worth it..

Delta 8”
I really like this delta 8 inch range showerhead. My only critique would be that it takes a minute to drain after you turn it off unlike my other delta rain showerhead. Overall it’s got a great power and it looks wonderful. You also have to clean off hard water spots.

Good Rain Shower Head
Nice rain head. I have used several of the same rain heads in different locations. Good stream. The individual nozzles are easy to clear if small debris starts to clog one - just push on the flexible plastic tip and the nozzle clears to keep an even rain.

Shower amaze
It’s a great showerhead. Sleek and great water power once you take the water saver out of the top. Pressure was awesome after that

Love this raincan!
We ordered this rain can as part of our luxury master bath remodel. Not only does it look great, but the water pressure is divine and the overall sensation is one of luxury. I loved the square, modern shape, and the Delta name means it is well made. The satin nickel finishes matches my new Delta faucets. The Touch-Clean feature is especially useful in Texas, where we get limestone deposits on shower sprayers. We are extremely pleased; so much so that we ordered a second one for our guest bath shower. It really does feel like you are showering in a lovely, warm rain. Highly recommend!

Q&A
What is the difference between rp62955 and rp53496?
Hi Sam, Thank you for your question. The RP53496 is an all metal 8" square showerhead. The RP62955 is a 5-11/16" x 8-5/8" rectangular showerhead. Both are single setting showerheads with a full body spray pattern, touch clean spray holes, and a flow rate of 2.5 gallons per minute.
Thanks,
Dave

What's the largest rainshower head manufactured by Delta
Hello,
What's the largest shower head manufactured by Delta. I've seen a 8 inch one, do you have anything bigger than that.
Hi, Raja!
Thank you for your question. This shower head, RP53496, is the largest square rain can shower head that we have. We do have an 8 5/8" rain can shower head which is RP62955.

Dave, how does the head mount to the tile? I get the nipple part, just drill a hole for the nipple to attach to the water supply.
What will I need besides the shower head and nipple and diverter and what are the part numbers for ordering purposes.
Is there an online installation manual that shows me how to mount directly to the tile?
Referring to RP53496
Thanks
Hi Mike,
Thanks for your question. When using Delta Faucet model # RP53496 without a showerarm and flange, you will need to screw it on the pipe coming down from your ceiling.
There is not a manual for this operation. You will need a 1/2 threaded pipe in your ceiling and the showerhead will screw onto it. It is up to you how far it sticks down from the tile.
Thanks.
Jody

What is the construction of this shower head?
There is quite a difference in price, how does this compare to the RP50841?
Hello rfjm,
Thank you for your question on the Delta Universal Showering Single-Setting Raincan Shower Head. I would be happy to answer this question for you. There are some small differences in the shape of the shower heads and the nubbins, but the biggest difference is that the RP53496 is made of metal and the RP50841 is not. I hope this was helpful! If you have any other questions or concerns with this product you can give us a call at 800-345-3358 for answers and assistance.
Thank you,
Caleb

This showerhead is heavy, could it be a problem with the extension and piping in the wall?
Dear Jason,
Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Arzo Showerhead will work with any standard 1/2" IPS shower arm with no problem.
Best regards,
Tanya

Is this the same rain head as the 57740 Metal Raincan shower head. If so why is there a $147 difference?
Thank you for your question, DMiracle! The shower heads are the same, but the model 57740 includes a shower arm and flange.

Can you tell me if the water flow restrictor valve can be removed form this item? If not, which is the Delta raincan with the strongest water flow/pressure?
Hi, Peter!
Thank you for your question. The flow restrictor in the Delta RP53496 is non-removable. Unfortunately, attempting to remove the flow restrictor or modifying the shower head in anyway, may result in voiding any warranty that this shower head may have. The flow rate for this shower head is 2.50 gpm @ 80 psi which is at the highest flow rate we have for our shower heads. If you feel like you are getting less than 2.50 gpm, please contact us back.
Best Regards,
Rosanna

does tilt for wall mount
Thank you for your inquiry, Tony! The Delta Raincan Shower Head RP53496 could be mounted on any shower arm with a standard 1/2" connection. This unit does have a ball joint that allows it to adjust/tilt.
Best regards,
Tanya
