Does this spout thread onto a female collar soldered to the copper nipple?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP5834 can either be sweated onto a 1/2" Cooper water tube or threaded onto a 1/2" Iron pipe.

Do you have the same spout with a metal outer skin rather than the chromed plastic body? I really like the design of the o-ring that accommodates the 5/8-to 15/8 inch projection from the wall but worried about scrubbing will dull the finish.

Does spout number RP5834 come in Oil Rubbed Bronze? If not is there another Oil Rubbed Bronze spout with the same adapter I can just put the new spout onto the old adapter that is soldered in? Thank You for your time.

Hi brady54! Thank you for your question! Unfortunately the RP5834 tub spout is only available in chrome. The tub spout can sweat onto 1/2" copper or thread onto a 1/2" standard iron pipe. Do you have a chrome replacement nose-mount tub spout with diverter that threads onto a 3/4" diameter threaded end? My original was a Delta Monitor 1348. The threads are about 4" from the tub wall and the spout is 5-1/2" long.

Hi Larry, Thank you for your question! The Delta Faucet tub spout U1075-PK is 5 1/2" and can install to 3/4" threads, but it threads at the back of the spout instead of the nose. I have a tub spout, 9582. The spout has a plastic insert. The wall has a brass nipple with threads. The insert has 1 1/4" female threads that tread on the nipple and the male threads, 1" that thread into the spout. What spout can I buy.

I am trying to update my bathroom fixtures. Is there a matte black equivalent to this that I can purchase that will screw onto the same adaptor? It’s been very frustrating to find something to fit on this without ripping out our plumbing.

Is there a way to remove plastic insert?  Is that  needed for certain installations?  My setup is a long pipe coming out most of the length of the faucet. The plastic insert prevents me from slipping the faucet on and pushing it all the way to the threads
