How long should the nipple from the wall be

I have a delta threaded tub spout that is leaking when the shower is on. Will a worn out o-ring on the delta brass slip-on cause this issue, or do I just need to replace the spout?

Is there any option available that uses the sweated on brass adapter?

Hi Jake, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP61357BN. We do carry tub spouts that use an adapter for sweat to a copper pipe or thread to an iron pipe. We also carry tub spouts with adapters for sweat, thread, or slip-on installation. I recommend RP101727SS. Does this spout have a slip fit adapter? The spout I am replacing is a slip fit. There’s only about 2” of copper coming out of the wall.

The RP61357BN spout that you have has a 2-15/32" diameter. RP52148SS has a diameter of 3-1/2", and RP34357SS has a diameter of 3-1/8". These spouts may be large enough to cover the exposed hole. I have a Delta 600 series tub spout from 1996.  I want to replace it with a brushed nickel spout but do not want to have to change the pipe and fitting coming out of the wall  Does this one replace it.  No modifications?

I have this spout w lifetime warranty-when I contacted Masco to replace due to faulty shower diverter, they advised it is not available. It appears to be available through Delta, please advise what I can do to replace free of charge

This tub spout can either be sweated onto 1/2" CWT (copper water tube) or threaded onto 1/2" IPS (iron pipe size).
