Shower upgrade!
This shower head is such an upgrade! Great pressure and very relaxing. The middle spray is super soft and comfy, white the outer jets are stronger and feel like gentle massage, making every shower feel spa-like.

Nice shower head
This is a very nice shower head. It’s crazy how much it sounds like actual rain! The way the water comes out though, isn’t my favorite. I wish it was more fuller if you get what I mean by that. I love the matte black color, it looks very sleek and modern. It was super easy to put together - it took just a few minutes. You do need plumbers tape though.

Works so well!
I received the Delta Universal Showering H2Okinetic Raincan Single-Setting Shower Head in matte black complimentary for my honest review. I am very impressed with this shower head. It was extremely easy to install. It took about 15 minutes from start to finish. I had no issues with leaking which was an added bonus. This shower head is sturdy and durable. You can tell it is made from quality material and is designed to last. It’s worth the price point because this is a long term investment. I was interested in that this shower head only has one setting versus multiple options. However, once I tried this for the first time I understood why, the H2Okinetic specialty design creates the perfect shower experience. It feels like a steady rain following over you. It creates a unique water pattern that gives you 3x the coverage than a standard water head. It really feels soothing and relaxing. While you feel a heavier water pattern than typical shower heads it also uses 20 percent less water which I absolutely appreciate. It’s good for your water bill and the environment. This is a solid upgrade to your shower that takes minimal effort.

Comfortable water conserving percussive shower exp
I really like this shower head! I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect because it talked about unique wave patterns. The H2O Kinetic spray definitely feels different than any other shower head I’ve used. It is a single setting shower head and you can easily shift the angle/direction it to whatever position works best for you and other members of them family who might want it differently positioned. It has a matte black finish that I think goes with any shower color or pattern. The best way I can describe it is as percussive but gentle enough to feel just right. It feels massage like. I really noticed the pattern difference when washing my hair. Even though less water is coming out, Delta WaterSense labeled showers use about 20% less water than most shower heads but it really doesn’t feel like it. The shower head is huge compared to most shower heads at 7-7/8”. This size makes it feel like more water is coming because the circumference is larger and the position and shape of the holes the water comes out. It took only a couple minutes to install. I would assume installation time variation has most to do with how long it takes to remove your existing shower head. It takes seconds screw on. I used a little plumbers tape but that was all. I didn’t need any tools. Overall I’d recommend this to anyone looking to conserve water without compromising the feel of good water pressure.

Love the look but disappointed in product change..
I had this showerhead and after 10 years I needed to get a new one due to calcium buildup in the showerhead. I purchased the same but it has changed. The waterflow changed to a lower amount and the water spray output is much more splattery than before. I wish it would be changed back to the original spray version which was not as messy in the shower and much more enjoyable to use. Disappointed that the product changed not for the better....

Q&A
Our shower is small and the shower head needs to point straight down. Right now all the spray hits the wall instead of the person. Is there another shower arm that would enable this raincan shower head to point downward?

The shortest shower arm which can be mounted on the wall that we currently offer is 5 7/16” or 138 mm, model U4993-RB.

Can the water pressure be adjusted (specifically lowered)? We have two shower heads in the same shower: a H2Okinetic Single-Setting Raincan (RP70172RB) which runs at almost painfully high pressure, and an In2ition Two-In-One (RP62088) which feels fine.
Thank you for your question, Megan! The RP70172RB shower head does not have an adjustment but is WaterSense labeled to produce 1.75 gpm @ 80 psi. How to increase water flow through the A112.18.1M shower head. I cleaned the screen. Is there a water restrictor on this head that can be removed?

Thank you for your question. The Delta RP70172 shower head assembly does have a built in flow restrictor that cannot be removed. Attempting to remove or modify the shower head may result in voiding any warranty that the unit may have. This shower head has a flow rate of 1.75 gpm @ 80 psi. The unit is Water-Efficient and WaterSense® Labeled. WaterSense® labeled showers use at least 20% less water than the industry standard—saving you money without compromising performance.

What is the best solution/way to clean shower head?
We live in a city with hard water and the pressure that comes out from the shower head has decreased in the month we have lived in our house. The guest bathroom showerhead (same model) still has great pressure, I just believe there may be a small build up in the shower head? Any suggestions on cleaning the showerhead?

We recommend soaking the shower head with white vinegar and water typically a half and half solution but for harder build up 75% vinegar and 25% water. RP70172RB Spray width
Can you please tell me the spray width I can expect from the RP70172RB. I currently have the RP48686RB and I am very disappointed in the width of the spray. On my current shower head, it seems that it the water doesn't spread at all which leaves me with about a 6 inch spray.
Patrick, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the pressure of each installation will vary the width of the spray. I can tell you that this Delta Faucet part is an 8" diameter spray face. For a wider range, the pressure would need to be increased.

Is this recommended to be mounted on the ceiling? Or is it just a wall mount?
We would like to match it up with a fixed wall mount with the same technology, so we were looking to mount this one to the ceiling as it is a Raincan and wanted to know if this would work?

Does the RP70172SS come with the water supply cover? Mine did not include it and I had to use a generic one from the hardware store which does not match the showerhead.

Hi TG, Thank you for your question. The model RP70172RB sowerhead does move/swivel approximately 15 degrees in each direction. The showerhead has a raincan style but operates using our H2OKinetic technology. Each shower head contains an internal system that controls the speed, movement and droplet size of the water, which creates the feeling of more water than a standard shower flowing at the same rate.
