[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The looks of this tub spout look fine, however I’m not a fan of plastic which seems cheap. The water flow isn’t great when filling the tub but the shower diversion is good. We will see how it how it looks when I can’t return it

Do Not Buy
I purchased this tub spout as part of a kit from amazon, and immediately the diverter did not fully function. The spout was leaky and had poor water pressure out of the shower head. I filed a warranty claim and was send a second unit, which worked great for one shower, then got stuck in the down position and I had to yank it up with pliers to unstick it. now it does not go fully up or down and still leaks.

Does the job

Q&A
This tub spout came with my shower/tub model T17T459-H2O. Tub spout came with a brass tub adaptor which includes 2 o-rings & set screw to install the brass adaptor. How far should brass adaptor slide over the 1/2" copper line to tighten set screw?

Thank you for your question! We recommend that the copper pipe be 2" to 4" from the finished wall. The back of the adapter should be 1/4" to 1/2" from the finished wall when installed.

does this spout ship with an adaptor for NPT installation?
the price book is showing this includes a universal adapter. the spouts we have do not have an adapter and there is no parts breakdown for this. Under the T&S parts breakdown no adapter is shown.
Hi Dawn, Thank you for your question. The RP73371 Diverter tub spout is a slip on spout made to go over 1/2" copper pipe. The white insert in the spout is the adapter. The spout does not come with a NPT option.

Does this tub spout need to be soldered to a copper pipe? Or is the O-rings and set screw enough?
