Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks great... works not so great I'm writing this on behalf of my girlfriend who actually owns the Delta tub & shower unit, but I'm the one who removed the tub spout from the wall to find out why it suddenly stopped diverting. I actually sold Delta hardware years ago, so I told her I'd take a look for her. It turns out that the sealing gasket for the diverter gate was shot, only two years after installation. Although it's been a lot of years since selling Delta fixtures, Ii absolutely remember the quality of the builds being much better back then, with parts rarely wearing out under anything but extreme usage. As a previous reviewer mentioned, "Delta, do better".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Updated 80’s Bath [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced and updated all the fixtures in our 80’s upstairs bath in this matte black. It now looks like a new bathroom. I really like the look and they don’t show water spots and haven’t chipped so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product but opt for built in diverter on shower valve if possible! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product is nice and the plating looks to be well done. Not a fan of the pull tab type spouts but that is all that would work with this shower set up.

Q&A

I bought a delta tub spout 00125-773502. It came with a copper sweat valve but I am wondering if this is required or is it a slip on installation?

Is this tub spout compatible with the Delta Vesna shower threads and trim? Our tub spout diverter is not working properly with the seal. Looking for a new spout that will work with our threads and trim.

Asked by: Campsarah

It will also fit the sweat/thread on adapter used by the Vesna tub spout RP78735. Please reach out for further assistance or with any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan

We have RP73371 spout. Adapter RP33794 included. Instructions Pg 5, C-1 do not indicate using the adapter for slip on install. White insert in spout does not have set screw. Adapter appears to only screw on spout with o-ring toward wall. Is this correct?

Asked by: Melody
Thank you for your question, Melody! The RP33794 adapter would need to be installed, with the o ring on the front, and the set screw and threads on the back side of the RP73371 tub spout. Best Regards, Benjamin

I just installed the trinsic tub spout with shower diverter. But when the bath is on, the pressure causes the shower to turn on a bit.  it appears there is a black plastic obstruction preventing the tub spout water to flow freely. Can I cut that out?

Asked by: Mitchellized
Good afternoon Mitchellized, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! The shower rise, or stacking, you are describing with your Delta Faucet RP73371BL tub spout can be caused by several reasons. The tub spout should not be restricting the water and we would not recommend cutting the tub spout. 1) The valve could be upside down. 2) The length from the valve to the tub spout is outside of the 8" to 18" distance. 3) Something other than ½" smooth copper or galvanized pipe was used going to the spout. No push fittings. No "shark-bite" fittings. No cast or drop ear elbows. 4) Something restricting the water flow to the spout, e.g. solder or something lodged in the pipe. If this is the cause of shower-rise it is possible to remove the blockage by removing the tub spout; then, feeding a plumber’s snake or a speedometer cable up through the tub drop. The act of feeding it causes it to twirl and loosen the blockage. Be sure to flush the valve before reinstalling the tub spout. Be sure to check the tub spout itself for blockage. Please reach out directly at customerservice@deltafaucet.com or 1-800-345-DELTA if you have any questions or need additional assistance. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you! Best regards, Bryan

I’m having an issue with diverting water to the shower head. Is there a way to get to the O-ring on the pull up? I can’t find a way to “get up in there” since there’s a plastic piece blocking the spout that seems immovable and the stem is deep.
