Nice enough but plastic where metal should be used
The look and functions of this head are nice, but the plastic construction is not as sturdy as I like. The previous one broke when I tried to pivot the direction of spray. I'm hoping it was just a one-off fluke. This is the replacement for the identical item The only difference is the one that broke was the 2.5 GPM model.

Unreliable
This shower head has only lasted a 11/2 years and is now leaking badly. It was part of a beautiful shower system that is performing well. The showerhead has partially separated and now leaks. I hope it's covered under warranty. I may need to consider a better replacement.

Plastic edging in the head that holds it to the discharge valve crumbled like a dry biscuit - the thing is barely 2 years old. For the cost of this unit it should last for several years.

Restricted Water Flow
Just received a replacement shower head and am disappointed at the markedly restricted water flow. The original shower head had to be replaced after 3.5 years of use when the plastic casing "fingers" over the ball that allows movement of the shower head started breaking off into tiny pieces. We generally don't move the shower head except for the VERY occasional cleaning of the shower walls when I don't have a large cup handy. Thankful that Delta honored the 5-year warranty on the shower head but a bit disappointed that the parts didn't hold up for very long.

This Delta shower head is the second one that I have purchased from you. I am very happy with both of them and may still buy yet another one from you for the upstairs showers? I have (4) baths/showers in my house.

Can the water pressure be increased on the shower head?
Yes it can. Delta not only says they don't recommend it, they flat out told me you can't. I just did. 1- Remove the shower head. 2- Remove the black rubber washer and filter screen. You will see a small black "O" ring. This ring is covering the water holes. 3- Remove the ring. 4- Replace the filter screen and rubber washer and re-install the shower head. It is very easy with basic tool and no damaging the shower head. Enjoy your shower. :)

How do you change into the 5 different spray settings? The showerhead does not seem to turn.

I know you don't recommend changing the water flow but that is different than not being able to. How can I increase the water flow for the 5 Setting Raincan RP78575 shower head?

Thank you for your question. The Delta RP78575 shower head has a flow rate of 1.75 gpm @ 80 psi. There is not a way to increase the flow rate to be higher than this.

I don't see where it says what comes in the box or if it is chrome covered plastic?

Is there a way of cleaning the screen that sits below the rubber washer where the female fitting meets up with the supply pipe?

Thank you for your question. The Delta RP78575SS shower head can be cleaned by removing the whole head from the arm and soaking the shower head in a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water mix for an hour or even overnight to clean.

Can the restrictor valve be removed from this shower head? My husband removes this valve from all of our faucets. When he takes a shower he likes to get in and out!
