Does this kit have an optional back plate to help hide hole behind?

Asked by: Hoops2425
Hi, Hoops2425! Thank you for your question. The Delta T11864-SS Diverter Trim does not have an additional back plate. The escutcheon plate for the unit measures 4 1/2" (114 mm) Square. Best Regards, Rosanna

If the rough in valve was plugged on the wrong side can the carthridge be flipped?

Asked by: Kevin2018
Hi, Kevin2018! Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the cartridge cannot be flipped. We recommend to purchase a new 6-setting valve cartridge, RP51919. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP51919 You will have blank settings but all of your settings will work correctly. I have installed the T11864 diverter trim When in position 3 as per page 6 in the guide that came with it. The water flow continues to go through both locations. And the water flow is very weak? Any suggestions

Asked by: Jerry
Thank you for your question, Jerry! Model T11864 is a 3- setting, 2-Port diverter trim that is designed to switch the flow of water between two options. The third option will allow the use of both products simultaneously, however the gallons per minute for each item will be slightly reduced as both ports must share the water flow. We recommend checking the back of the shower head or other fixture for debris, as well as flushing the main valve body. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have questions or need further assistance. Best regards, Edward

This unit comes with the 3-setting RP51918 cartridge. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP51918 If your local plumbing codes do not allow shared settings, you can use the RP71717 2-setting cartridge. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP71717 Best regards, Jon

Can I use this with 57014ss kit? If so, would I need an r11000 or r10000 valve body? I have no tub and just the one shower head. Thanks

Asked by: Thena
Hi, Thena! Thank you for your question. The Delta 57014SS shower unit will work with the T11864 if you are using a second shower head with the 57014SS. You will need the R11000 with the T11864 and a valve trim kit with the R10000 rough valve body. If you should need further assistance with this, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358. We are available Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm, CST and Saturday, 8am-5pm, CST. I recently purchased Delta R11000 3 position diverter valve/trim kit T11864-SS. They were professionally installed. After 2 months of no problems, the diverter valve started squeaking loudly when changing positions. What is the best way to fix this?

Asked by: labrie
Hi labrie, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing with your Delta Faucet 3-Setting 2-Port Diverter Trim In Stainless MODEL#: T11864-SS. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. Noise from the diverter cartridge would be caused by debris, We would recommend flushing and soaking the cartridge in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Here are some flushing instructions: 1) Remove the handle by loosening the set screw on the side of the base of the handle. The set screw is either an 1/8" or 3/32" Allen screw. So you will need to use the appropriate size Allen wrench to loosen it. Loosen it just enough to be able to easily pull the handle off. 2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve. The sleeve is threaded at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. 3) After removing the sleeve, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body. 4) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out, much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let it flush for 30 seconds. 5) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions.
