Delta® pressure-balance valves use Monitor® Technology to protect you and your family from sudden temperature changes. This Brilliance Stainless finish has subtle, warm undertones which make it an excellent match with nickel or stainless steel and is extremely versatile, complementing nearly any look, be it traditional, transitional or contemporary.
- Monitor pressure balance valve keeps water temperature within a safe +/-3degrees F (+/-1.6degrees C), helping to protect you from sudden changes in hot or cold water pressure
- Trim kit only, must order MultiChoice Universal Valve separately to complete the unit

Does this one handle control the water temperature and water volume (how hard the water comes out of the showerhead) in addition to the water pressure?

Our T14238-SSLHD handle rotates for volume and temperature. The water pressure depends on the shower head and the PSI going into the home.

Is this an all chrome metal shower trim or is it a plastic trim? What is the difference between Monitor 14 Series and Monitor 17 Series?

Our Delta Faucet Lahara® Monitor® 14 Series Shower Trim - Less Head In Chrome MODEL#: T14238-LHD is a single handle that controls volume and temperature, and our 17 series trim kits have a handle for volume and a handle for temperature which can be controlled separately.
Our Delta product is a mixture of metallic and non-metallic material, Quality is very important to us and our products undergo rigorous testing to ensure high-quality performance. Non-metallic products are beneficial in that they do not rust or corrode and help prevent heat transfer.

Can I substitute the Adjustable shower arm instead of the pipe shown for the shower head attachment

The shower arms are universal which means they can be changed out for any design. They connect to a 1/2 pipe in the wall, and the 1/2 connection for the shower head.

Is this valve a 'set it and forget it' as far as temperature is concerned or is it just a plain on/off water valve.

What kind of tool do I use to tighten the set screw in the shower Lahara Moniter 14?
