It's great!
I like how it looks more than I thought I would. I didn't want to spend a fortune, and shower systems have gotten so expensive, so I thought I was settling, but I actually really like it, and it doesn't detract from my gorgeous new bathroom at all. It's functional and affordable. My contractor installed it, it works great, has good pressure.

I installed this in my bathroom and in less than a year, all of the finish corroded to an astounding degree. I used no harsh cleaners. I have never seen anything like this. I contacted Delta, sent photos, and they told me to use a water stain remover to no avail. These aren't stains. This is the finish coming off the fixture. I am now having to purchase a new set for the shower and sink and pay a plumber to do the work again. I understand this is an inexpensive product but, a $30 shower head would last longer than this. Terrible product and no viable support from Delta.

Does the job
If you live in CA, this will have a water restrictor in it and you will not get enough pressure for water to flow through both shower heads simultaneously. I googled how to correct it for this particular model and I now have much better pressure and can rinse my hair in a decent amount of time. The water flow restrictions implemented in CA are only causing more water usage. I have to flush my brand new toilet a couple of times just to get toilet paper down.

Great coverage
I bought this Ashlynn Monitor 17 for my bathroom remodel. It delivers great coverage and plenty of water. The first unit had an issue with the seal on the main shower head. After a call to Delta warranty, I had a replacement within 1 week. Excellent customer service from Delta. Get the rough-in valve when you order this. The plumbers told me it’s a quality valve.

NO BRUSHED NICKLE-- WHY
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put the valve in already and purchased my entire home brushed nickle. I would have to take this valve out of my rough in to get a KES or POP system, to get brushed nickle, not to mention a separate hand held component. What is going on with Delta not offering this tub shower combo in brushed nickle.

Nice marketing read but functionally not so good.
there is a "tight line" between the dual function and volume control levers.. the hot/cold mix valve lever will move the the volume lever. One can adjust the holding screw to reduce this friction but the screw head is so far out that you can't snugly install the the plastic hot/cold mix valve. It pops off frequently.

On the inside of the tub spout there is a plastic square which slows the water flow. Can the plastic square be removed so there is more water volume coming out.

Removing this part will damage the tub spout and will not increase the flow rate. If you have questions or need further assistance, please contact us directly.

what parts of the Ashlyn Tub and shower trim are plastic and which are metal

We are trying to replace a Delta shower/tub faucet from the early 90's. Is this compatible with the plumbing, valve? already installed? Thank you.

Thank you for your inquiry! As long as the screw holes on your original 13/1400 series large round escutcheon plate are at the 1 and 7 o'clock positions and you do not have a push button shower diverter directly below the off and on handle, then the Delta Ashlyn Tub and Shower T14464 and any of our other trim kits that start with a T13 or a T14 will interchange for you. The cartridges that come with the new trim kits will not fit your valve body, so you will need to reuse your existing cartridge (RP19804, Blue/White).

Is there an extension kit for this trim?

Thank you for your question. Stem extension kit RP77991 can be ordered to allow for an additional 1 3/4" wall thickness. This kit ships with chrome escutcheon screws.

My customer purchased the T14464 trim with the R10000unbx valve. We shipped the valve for the rough in and the plumber is saying he needs the cartridge to finish rough in installation. . Does this not come with the valve?
