Rated 1 out of 5 by from Major issues with manufacturing of this shower faucet I purchased two of these for a home remodel. In both cases, the shower head leaked. For the first one, Delta sent out a replacement cartridge but that was also defective; the second cartridge they sent worked. For the second shower head, I'm awaiting the first cartridge replacement. The Delta customer rep said how rare it was for this to happen. Yeah, sure -- two of the same products with the same problems and their replacement parts were also faulty! Clearly the brand has quality control issues. I will not be purchasing any Delta products in the future and I suggest any homeowner also avoid the headaches (not to mention additional expense of having to pay for a plumber to come back multiple times to fix it!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Modern Look Bought the Delta hydro-rain 2 in 1 shower head & diverter for the handheld in the Vero collection. I did much research to find just the right one & it works perfectly for our walk in shower. Love using the diverter & temps stay just as you set it. Very modern look, easy to switch between settings. Chrome handles are well made & have a nice grip, easy to clean & overall excellent. Highly recommend, you'll love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome valve I like this valve for 2 reasons, control the water pressure and also the temperature. The handle had smooth operation. Inside the valve has plastic cartridge. Delta has a lifetime replacement if you the original owner.

How does the construction of this model compare with the T17067-SS?

This model costs significantly more than the Ara Monitor Series valve only trim, model number T17067-SS, but the features are identical and the appearance is similar. Is there a difference in materials or construction? Thank you, Adrian

Does this valve need to be a certain distance from the diverter (6)?

Is there any preference for which component is in which spot on the diverter? I have rain-shower head, handheld and body sprays? does it make a difference in which placement they are on the diverter for the best water flow?

Hi Linda, Thank you for your question! The diverter valve can be installed almost any distance from the main valve trim. However, please make sure that the valves are far enough that the trim plates do not meet. The different showering components can be connected to any of the 3 outlet ports on the diverter valve. What is the on/off position of the handle

My contractor put this valve trim on for me, and I find that the off position (start position) is at about 4 o'clock like shown in the picture. But the farthest I can push it to is 1 o'clock at most. Is that working as expected? The on/off texts on the trim seems way off from where the handle is. My second question is where is the temp control supposed to be positioned? Mine is installed to be aligned with the volume control as coldest and can travel 180 degree to be hottest. It looks to me the volume handle walking distance is a bit too short. Could my contractor do anything wrong? Thanks a lot!

Hi Baldmice, Thank you for your question. The motion of the volume control handle on the model T17053-SS is as you describe from approximately 4 o-clock to 1 o-clock. The temperature control is also working properly with the coldest temperature aligned with the volume control. The range of motion depends on where the rotational limit stop is set. For Shower Valve T11853-RB..... do we need: Delta Universal Mixing Rough-In Valve with 1/2" NPT Male thread with 1/2" C.W.T Female Sweat - Box Model High Flow Shower Only? If yes, great. If no, what rough-in do we need with T11853-RB?

I have a T17053. As installed, the temperature is too low. The instructions note how to adjust this and that requires removing the volume handle. The set screw for that handle is covered. How do I remove that cover? Thanks.

I bought the T17253-CZ in bronze. Why is the temperature control knob plastic and all the rest metal? Can you order a metal temp control knob so it doesn't look so cheap?

Have a T17053-ss am finding it difficult to find a position that turns off the shower head without leftover dripping? Is this a repair I can do myself or do I need a plumber? What parts might I need? The unit is about 10 years old now.
