will this kit replace my old Delta 1700 monitor? I do not need new valves just a flat black trim replacement.

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T17064-BL-R.
This 17 series trim can replace a 1700 series. If the valve is older than 2006, the older RP32104 cartridge would be reused instead of the included cartridge.
