Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap inside parts The thing looks amazing on the outside. But you're getting cheap plastic parts that break or wear out on the inside where it matters. Expect to replace parts on this constantly. Delta faucets have a well-earned reputation for looking great, but not lasting. Every time you turn on your shower, you're one step closer to it breaking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tub/shower valve Too much plastic ! For what you pay for fixtures

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice function. Stains easily. Bought this two years ago along with model 55085 and Shower in the same finish. If you have well water, even though you have a high end water softener, this model will stain badly. Very disappointing. Given the high-end price we paid. We have much cheaper faucet fixtures in the same finish with a different manufacturer that don’t stain at all. Seems like they forgot some kind of seal finish on these fixtures.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very disappointed Something this expensive should nor have any plastic pieces. Outer beauty ring broke, called Delta for a replacement, they sent me a beautiful metal replacement that doesn't fit on the model I was sent. Don't waste your $$ on this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the function and style! I selected this for all four bathrooms! It is a simple enough design and function that our guests have no problem figuring out to use them to adjust volume or temperature. Perfect complement to all the fixtures selected for our traditional/transitional home. The Brilliant Stainless is my selection for all of them and that color goes perfectly with brushed nickel from other manufactures of bathroom fixtures that I used. Top rating all the way!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too easy to SCOLD! Pretty, however, this thing can scold you or child or elder with a bump to the volume or temp by accident. Took me 5 minutes to understand and not push wrong direction thinking it did something to help. NOT for small kids or elderly, too easy to scold.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from T17097RB This faucet looks great HOWEVER the circular plate on the front that determines flow of water or temperature (not sure which) pops off every time we use it. We notice it is plastic. Not happy, been on hold for 20 minutes trying to get someone to help us with no response.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delta Cassidy shower Trim Issue Good looking trim. It had a fitment issue with thermostatic lever. It will not snap flush to the geared piece.

Q&A

I have a T17097-CZ . I want to adjust the water temp. How do I get the knob off to adjust the water temp.

Asked by: ponycars
Hi, ponycars! Thank you for your question. The temperature knob on the Delta T17097-CZ shower trim kit pulls straight off by hand to remove. Best Regards, Rosanna

What’s the difference between all of the following Rough Valves?

What’s the difference between all of the following Rough Valves? R10000-IP R10000-IPWS R10000-PX R10000-PXWS R10000-UN R10000-UNBX R10000-UNBXT R10000-UNWS
Asked by: Richard
Thank you for your question. The roughs are basically the same, it is just the piping used that makes the difference. The models with IP are used with iron pipe, the models with PX are used with pex pipe, and the models with BX can be used with copper, iron pipe, pex, or CPVC piping. WS stands for "with screwdriver stops" which means you can turn the water off at the shower without turning it off in the whole house. The BX in the model number means it is a single box model. This is only used on the UN model because the R10000-UN has to be ordered in case packs of 12. The T on the R10000-UNBXT means that it is for a thin wall mount which is usually a fiberglass tub.

The Cassidy line has a french curve handle. Can this be installed on the single hole lavatory faucets and shower sets?

If you cannot use this handle on the whole collection, what's the point?
Asked by: cindy
Hi Cindy, Thank you for your question. The french curve handle will not work on the Cassidy single hole lav faucets or the 17 series tub/shower faucets. The handles are compatible with the Cassidy 2 handle lav faucets and the 13/14 series tub/shower faucets. Thanks, Dave

Will all those parts working together?

I am remodeling my bathroom. I would like to have an overhead shower plus a hand shower with slide bar. I have picked out following parts and would like to know whether they will work together and whether I am missing anything. T17097-SS valve trim, R11000 diverter rough, 50560-SS wall elbow, 51708-SS slide bar hand shower, U4993-SS shower arm and flange. Any recommendation for shower head? I would like something with good water volume going through it.
Asked by: June
Hi June, Thank you for your question. You will need an R10000-UNBXHF rough to go with your T17097-SS trim. You have the R11000 diverter rough and need the matching diverter trim T11897-SSLHP, plus the handle H597SS. The rest of your items are correct. Our showerheads that feature the H2O Kinetic would be a good choice for your shower. Thanks, Dave

What is the difference between the T17097-ss Trim and the T17T097-ss other than the price?

Asked by: Kathleen
Hi Kathleen, Thank you for your question. The difference in the T17097 and the T17T097 is the cartridge that is inside. The T17T cartridge comes with a thermostatic cartridge that is ceramic. It withstands harsher water conditions compared to the T17097 that contains a cartridge with silicone based seats and springs that seal the valve body. They both function the same. Thanks, Alexis

What is the difference between the T17097-RB and the T17T97-RB?

Asked by: Dgraham3
Hi, Dgraham3! Thank you for your question. Model numbers that start with 'T17' are our Delta Monitor 17 series that have a dual-function valve cartridge. This offers volume control and temperature control. Model numbers that start with 'T17T' are our Delta TempAssure™ 17T series that features a dual-function thermostatic cartridge. TempAssure™ keeps the temperature consistent by precisely measuring, monitoring, and automatically adjusting the water mix. Is there a thermostatic cartridge that will work with this trim or would we have to purchase a new trim? We have lower than expected water pressure (new install) & I was told that can happen using pressure balance with tankless water heater.

Asked by: Blythe
Hi Blythe, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T17097. Unfortunately, this trim does not use a thermostatic cartridge. The similar trim model T17T097 does use and include a thermostatic cartridge. Please reach out with any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan Digital Communications Specialist

We have purchased a Delta T17097-SS (Brilliance Stainless). This is very similar to brushed nickel. However, the temperature value is like a polished nickel while the rest of the value is like brushed nickel. Is this by design or an error in packaging.
