Rated 1 out of 5 by from delta As a professional. What can I say, its Delta,, great products
Date published: 2025-10-05
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta is so much better than it used to be My plumber installed a Delta valve in my shower due to a miscommunication about the shower system I bought that didn’t come with a valve. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately depends which way you look at it, he installed the valve at standard height which meant the shower system had to be installed at the height of a 7 foot tall person. I was really annoyed that I was going to have replace my shower system with Delta shower products to match up with the valve that was already installed. When I was growing up Delta was the cheapest product used in tract homes. Much to my surprise Delta has completely changed for the better! I am very impressed with how nicely the shower head and valve cover perform. I also bought the diverter valve which is awesome and the totally incredible handheld shower that has a button for spraying water out the end to clean the shower walls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very stylish Very stylish. Gives a lot of pressure.
Date published: 2023-11-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality Very well made, 2.5 GPM. It’s larger than the one it replaced, so the water is routed through more holes, resulting in less forceful spray. I’m still getting used to the “softer” spray but I’m happy with my choice. The on/off lever has a separate lever to regulate temperature. This is one reason I selected it.
Date published: 2023-09-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Impossible to clean I have three of these in my home. What a mistake! The styling is great, but they are impossible to clean. They show water spots and the shower head cannot be cleaned of calcium spots. The product is cheaply made. The temperature indicator is a sticker and it peeled off in our main bath. A sticker in a hot steamy shower enclosure? You WILL be disappointed if you use this product over time.
Date published: 2023-07-08
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Clogged [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 2 years the spray was not coming out properly. A plumber told us it was clogged. So disappointing.
Date published: 2022-07-04
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Delta Shower Trim The shower trim is attractive. However, based upon the price, I was expecting better quality materials and a more consistent finish between the different materials used. In particular, I did not expect the temperature control handle to feel so flimsy compared to the more robust volume control.
Date published: 2022-03-21
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good shower head and controls. Very attractive and mostly functional. I love the temperature control. My complaint is that the distance from the shower head to the wall is too short. As a result the shower head has to be at an angle and the water delivery is less vertical than I would like.

I have a Dryden series shower, it has worked fine for about 6 months, now it only gets warm but not hot. Need help

Asked by: gene
Hello Gene, Thank you for your question. There is a rotational limit stop that can be adjusted for hotter water. To adjust this for your Delta Dryden 17 Series T17251-SP shower, first remove the temperature cover and take a Philip's head screw driver and turn the set screw counter clockwise to remove. Next remove the gray knob. Behind the knob, you should see a black disk. Take this disk and take it out and place the disk to the hotter side. The hot side should be up against the iron piece that is sticking down on the volume handle. We would be more than happy to help you with this. Please feel free to call, email, or message us on social. Best regards, Tanya Phone: 1-800-345-3358 | Email: customerservice@deltafaucet.com | Facebook/Twitter: @deltafaucet

My shower head continually drips water from the bottom even when the water is turned off. What could be the issue?

Asked by: cleveland714
Hi, cleveland714! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a leak from your Delta shower unit. You may have some debris trapped in the valve body or cartridge assembly that is blocking the water flow. You may need to clean out the cartridge assembly and flush out the valve body. First turn off the water supply to the faucet. Remove the handle assembly, unscrew the bonnet ring and remove the cartridge assembly and all seals. Rinse and clean the cartridge out thoroughly. Turn both the hot and cold water back on for 10 to 15 seconds to flush out the valve body. After the allotted time, turn the water off and reinstall all of the components. Make sure that there is no debris on the cartridge assembly and seals. If this does not resolve your issue, we do recommend to replace the seal kit adapter, RP46073. Multi port diverter option

Hi, I want to to control water to the tub faucet, the shower head or a hand held sprayer. Is there a diverter valve option for this product to enable 3 separate output capabilities.
Asked by: Dave Gray
Dear Dave Gray, Thank you for your inquiry! You would need the Delta Dryden Tub and Shower Trim T17451. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/T17451 Then you would need the Diverter Valve R11000 and matching Dryden 3-Setting diverter Trim T11851, to complete the install you described. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/T11851 https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/R11000 Best regards, Tanya

Does this have a different cartridge than other 17 Series?

I was using your website's compare feature to look at the Lahara and Dryden trims. For the valve and cartridge information, the Dryden says NA, whereas the Lahara says Dual-function pressure balance cartridge. Does the Dryden not have the same dual-function pressure balance cartridge, too?
Asked by: ajbe
Hi ajbe, Thank you for your question! This unit will have the same cartridge as other 17 series showers, such as the Lahara T17238. Thanks, Jon

Recently installed a replacement RP46463 cartridge. I had to follow the back to back or reverse installation directions. Which way would I turn the rotational stop limit to raise the hot water temp?

Asked by: newton
Hi newton, Thank you for your review regarding Delta Faucet T17251-SS! We apologize this did not meet your expectations. For back-to-back or reverse installations (hot on the right and cold on left): Rotate the cartridge so the words “HOT SIDE” appear on the right. Install the cartridge making sure that the key is fully engaged with the slot in the brass body (See step C). Slide bonnet nut over the cartridge and thread onto the body. Hand tighten securely. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/107529%20Rev%20D.pdf We look forward to better serving you in the future. Please contact us directly with any further questions. T17251-RB Temperature Regulator used to work very nicely. After a few years, the hottest setting is not so hot. We have hard water. Are there moving parts inside that can be cleaned? If not, which Delta P/N needs to be changed?

Asked by: RichWhite
Hi RichWhite, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T17251-RB. I recommend adjusting the rotational limit stop to change the hottest setting. See the Maintenance and Installation instructions or a video here: https://support.deltafaucet.com/s/article/How-to-Adjust-Your-Rotational-Limit-Stop-T17-Series-Video If the water in your area has lime, rust, sand or other contaminants in it, your pressure balance valve will require periodic inspection. If the issue remains, remove the valve cartridge. Turn the valve to the full mix position and shake the cartridge vigorously. If there is a rattling sound, the unit is functional and can be reinstalled. If there is no rattle, replace the RP46463 cartridge. Please reach out with any additional questions! Can the shower head water flow be adjusted ? Works fine but flow rate is on the lower side.

Asked by: John
Hi John, Thank you for your question! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. The Delta Faucet model T17251 Monitor® 17 Series Shower Trim In Chrome showerhead flow restrictor cannot be removed or adjusted for a greater flow. The most common cause of a low flow rate is debris. The best way to clear any debris is to flush the supply lines. To do this, turn off the water supplies, remove the cartridge, and turn the supplies back on for one minute. Please make sure that you are getting good flow through both the hot and cold sides while flushing. You can also shake the cartridge back and forth to make sure the back half of the cartridge rattles. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or for further assistance. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer! Best Regards, Skyler
