Does this item come with valve? Can you get a longer rod for shower head?
Asked by: Dan Rodgers
Thank you for your question! Model T17253 does not come included, with the valve body. The model number of the valve body is R10000-UNBX. I have included a link to the valve body's web page, for you to refer to. The RP46870 shower arm, which would be included with this trim is 16 inches long, and that is the longest shower arm that we make.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17253-SS-H2O is recommended to be paired with our multi-choice valve, R10000-UNBXHF. This is our universal valve that will work with any application and get the highest flow of water.

Does a valve come with this shower or do I need to purchase one separately? If so, would the Multichoice Universal Valve be acceptable?
Asked by: JD
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17253 does not include the valve in the box. It does need to be purchased separately. We recommend the R10000-UNBX rough-in valve.

trim installation on the 17 series T 17253 page 12 in manual picture c-2
How do you get the part #4 (control cover) of after installation without breaking the piece. It snapped on easy enough but how do you get it of? I am unable to turn the temperature controll piece more than 10 degrees which does not allow me to adjust any temperature. Any guidance???
Asked by: Andy
Thank you for your question. To remove the temperature knob cover, we recommend squeezing the sides together slightly with one hand. Then with the other hand, grasp the knob sticking out and pop it off the faucet.

I'm trying to decide between a Vero T17253-SS and T17253-SSH2O shower head. I want the one with the most pressure from the jets.
Even though the H2O version uses less water, will it provide as much pressure to wrince hair during showering, or would the rain can version be better? Thanks.
Asked by: Martin
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model T17253-SS will have an output of 2.5 gpm and T17253-SSH2O will have an output of 2.0 gpm but it feels like 2.5 gpm. It is really a personal preference as to the style that you prefer. One version is not better than the other.

Does the shower head title and/or rotate?
Or is the head stationary?
If the head does title and/or rotate?
1) tilt: how many degrees from the right angle made with the pipe shown in the installation position?
2) swivel: how many degrees around attached pipe?
Thanks!

It looks like about 3" between the curve in the arm to the bottom of the shower head ? I am trying to determine the height I want the shower arm placed on the wall.

What is the advantage of purchasing the T17T253 model over the T17253? I see that there is a bit of a price difference.
Asked by: Gabi
Hi, Gabi!
Thank you for your question. The difference between the two T17T253 and T17253 units is that the T17T253 is a TempAssure thermostatic valve which lets you set your temperature at one setting so that when you get in and out of the shower each time, the temperature stays where you set it at. You will need to set your temperature each time for the T17253 unit.

Shower only
Will the R10000-UNBX work for a shower only setup?
If so how would I plug the tub outflow?
Also would the R10000-UNBXHF Multichoice Universal Shower Only Valve Body work?
if so would the R10000-UNBXHF be a better choice?
Asked by: Nik
Thank you for your question. Either Delta Faucet R10000-UNBX or R10000-UNBXHF will work for a shower only application. There are instructions for using it with the R10000-UNBX with the shower only trim. If you are going to not use a tub spout at all, we would recommend using the R10000-UNBXHF to get a higher flow.

Extra parts when assembling shower body (T17253)?
I purchased all the parts for my shower in December 2013 and am trying to finish the installation (currently September 2014). I misplaced the instructions for the shower body and am going by the current instructions posted online as of September 2014. There seem to be several extra parts not mentioned in the current instructions: a stainless steel plate, two springs, and two rubber cups. Are these parts necessary and where do they go?

I have purchased T17253 kit. I want to add a hand held shower. What rough in valve(s) and diverter do I need to use this with 55530?
Asked by: Claire
Dear Claire,
Thank you for your question. To install the Delta Vero Wall Mount Hand Shower 55530 faucet with your Delta Vero Shower T17253 trim kit, you will need the Delta Multichoice Universal Valve R10000 and Diverter valve R11000. You would also need the 50570 Wall elbow to connect end of the hand shower hose assembly.

Can you adjust the pressure?
It seems like the shower head doesn't have a lot of pressure even when I have the pressure knob all the way on. I know it is to simulate rain, but pressure seems low. I also have two delta body sprays (50150) installed (using the delta r11000). Their pressure seems perfect. Even when I am just running the shower head, the pressure seems weak. The pressure does not decrease when going from hot to cold, and it doesn't decrease when I turn on the body sprays in conjunction with it. (Note-Plumber installed the systems)
Asked by: Mike
Hi Mike, Thank you for your question. The RP62955 shower head is rated at a flow rate of 2.5 gallons per minute at 80 psi. You may want to remove the showerhead and make sure that the debris screen in the showerhead is clean. Flush the shower connection with the head off to clean out the piping as well.
Thanks,
Dave

One model has 1 handle, another has 2 handles, and the other has 2 handles and a "temperature" knob. What's the function of each handle?
Asked by: Lele
Thank you for your question. The Vero collection has 3 different types of showers that you can purchase and they all have slightly different functions. The first step is the T14253 and this model has a handle that only controls the temperature. The volume cannot be adjusted with this model. The second step up is the T17253 and this model has two handles that sit on top of each other. One controls the volume and one controls the temperature. Both the T14253 and the T17253 have a pressure balanced catridge inside. The third and final step up is the T17T253. This also has the two handles that sit on top of each other with one controlling the temperature and one controlling the volume. But the T17T253 has a cartriridge that is thermostatic balanced.

I want to do a Vero shower head with hand shower (wall mounted T17T253) What if the complete list of roughs, diverters and trim kits I need?
I want the pressure balanced not thermostatically balanced. Can you also give me the retail prices of what I need. and and choices I still need to make. Looking at stainless rather than chrome.
Asked by: Mac
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model T17T253 is a thermoastatic trim. If you would like a pressure balanced trim, you will need the following items:
R10000-UNBXHF rough-in valve
T17253-SS trim
R11000 diverter rough
T11853-SS diverter trim
Your choice of wall supply elbow: 50570-SS or 50560-SS
Your choice of handheld shower: 55530-SS, 57530-SS, or 58470-SS
Your local wholesaler or retailer will have your cost for each model.

T17253-SS volume/temperature control
When I turn the control both the volume and the temperature move in unison, is the device incorrectly installed and if so, how can we fix. The installation instruction are not very clear.
Asked by: Annette
Hi Annette,
Thank you for your question. The temperature knob will move with the volume handle and the temperature is adjusted by moving the knob in relation to the volume handle. The volume handle should not move as you are adjusting the temperature. If it does, try loosening the screw that is under the knob cover.

vero monito 17 ceiling mount
Can I mount this shower-head on the ceiling instead of the wall using the ceiling mount shower arm (U4999). I have a 9' ceiling which makes me think that I will need to lower the ceiling to do this. How high above my head should the shower head be? I read somewhere 6" but this seems too close. Is there a shower arm that is longer than the 9" ceiling mounted shower arm?
Asked by: seanfancy
Dear SeanFancy,
Thank you for your question. The Delta Ceiling Mount Shower Arm and Flange U4999 can be used with the Vero Shower Trim T17253. Unfortunately, the U4999 is the longer ceiling mount shower arm we make. We also do not have a recommended height for installing the showerheads or arms, it would be personal preference.
