Monitor® 17 Series Shower Trim in Stainless
Model#:
T17253-SS
PRODUCT FEATURES
With separate handles for volume and temperature control, this Delta tub/shower provides a more refined showering experience. Simply set the water at your preferred temperature and turn the shower on or off with the volume control handle - without interrupting your set temperature. While other products may gather unsightly mineral build-up over time, Delta soft rubber Touch-Clean® spray holes allow any mineral residue to simply be wiped away for an instantly refreshed look – with no need for soaking or the aid of chemical cleaners. Delta® pressure-balance valves use Monitor® Technology to protect you and your family from sudden temperature changes. This Brilliance Stainless finish has subtle, warm undertones which make it an excellent match with nickel or stainless steel and is extremely versatile, complementing nearly any look, be it traditional, transitional or contemporary.
- Control volume and water temperature independently with two separate handles for more refined control of your shower experience
- Monitor pressure balance valve keeps water temperature within a safe +/-3degrees F (+/-1.6degrees C), helping to protect you from sudden changes in hot or cold water pressure
- Spray settings include: Full Body spray
- Full body spray provides a steady, full-coverage spray perfect for every shower need, from rinsing shampoo from hair to relaxing tired muscles
- Soft, rubber Touch-Clean® spray holes allow you to easily wipe away calcium and lime build-up from the spray face of your shower head and hand shower with the touch of a finger
- Trim kit only, must order MultiChoice Universal Valve separately to complete the unit
- ADA Compliant

Well worth the price
Such an amazing shower as it also came with the wand. I did the rough-in myself with no issues. The handles feel solid and robust, fit and finish is exquisite and the shower feels amazing.

Brass Brass Brass! Heavy duty and well made
Solid frame and very well constructed. I look for brass fixtures for all my bathroom projects. Delta fits the bill for an affordable price. The wall arm, shower head, and valve controls went in without a problem. Again yet another great product from Delta.

Looks great, very difficult to install
Very stylish and elegant. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is because the main on/off valve continues to turn, it does not stop at the on/off spot. It also doesn’t align with the on/off markings on the square plate. I had a very experienced contractor install this unit and he had a very difficult time doing so.

High quality metal trim worth the price for this Delta product. Easy to clean and the rain shower head produces a perfect rain flow. The controls allow for control of the water flow as well as the temperature which is a must with a rain shower. Very happy with this purchase

Love this shower head
Beautiful shower head and fixtures. We love the overhead spray. This nozzle allows for a large volume of water and the gravity of the flow increases the water pressure, which we liked.

Delta did it again.
Absolutely stunning shower head. The rain head on this model is a beauty. Full coverage water all over my big bones. The sleek lines in this design brought my remodel all together. The pictures do it no justice at all. Thanks Delta for another well made product. I will be using Delta faucets in my kitchen this spring.

Awesome Shower head and easy to install
I have a new house that came with the basic builder shower head. It looked very basic. I got this shower head. It not only took me 20 mins to install but it looks great! It made my master shower look nicer. The water comes out in a wide coverage.

Looking great
This shower head is so amazingly pretty
I don’t think it would work as well for the shower head with the tub, just because it is really big, but in the shower, where there is no chance of water splashing on the floor, it is amazing. It feels like a rain shower, very soothing.
I am not sure how hard it is to install it, because my hubby did it, but it was not a quick install. I wouldn’t be able to do it myself. But I am glad I have it in my shower. Very pretty!

Beautiful!
This Delta shower trim kit was exactly the finishing touch our bathroom remodel needed. We now have that “spa like” bathroom I always heard people say they wanted! The steel finish looks great with our other hardware and the install went fairly smoothly.
The shower head itself I was a bit apprehensive about, because I was unsure about giving up my trusty sprayer handle with all the settings. I’m glad I did. This trim kit is perfect. When we start working on our pool room, I’d like to install a shower out there to rinse off the pool water & this would be perfect there too.

Very good water flow and great looking
This Delat Faucet shower combo has been a great addition to our shower. We have been using the standard shower head the builder installed (Cheap) and it did the job, but it was not very comfortable. I removed the shower head and neck and replaced with this one from Delta. The flow is amazing. It feels so much better and softer on the body. It has a larger coverage area too. It is like standing under a warm rain in the summer. The flow of water is plenty for rinsing hair and my body. Overall, this product is very well built and not too difficult to install.

This design is beautiful
This shower head is simply amazing. The design is beautiful and the quality is awesome. It was not hard at all to put it together in my shower. It was rather simple to do. The water pressure is great as well. It really does feel like a rain fall shower head. The design of this shower head made my bathroom look more sleek and fancier. I highly recommend this product!

Sleek shower head
Remodeling the house and was stoked to find this shower head. I’d highly recommend this one because the rain style shower paired with a handheld is the only way to go. Our setup was relatively easy but I’m also experienced with construction.

Love this showerhead
I chose this rainhead shower faucet for our master bath remodel. I have had it installed now for a couple weeks and am really enjoying it. The rainhead provides just the right amount of water flow. It will also tilt so you can adjust where you want it to. I love the modern look it has and installation was very easy as my husband and I done it ourselves.

Being as its a rain head shower, the water pressure is steady but gentle. I really like how easy it is to keep clean to. Installation was very easy as my husband and I done it ourselves with no trouble.

Q&A
Hello, is thee a manual for this product?
Hi, Jon0!
Thank you for your question. Here is a link to the Delta T17253-SS trim kit:
https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/X00076652_G.pdf
Best Regards,
Rosanna

Does this item come with valve? Can you get a longer rod for shower head?
Thank you for your question! Model T17253 does not come included, with the valve body. The model number of the valve body is R10000-UNBX. I have included a link to the valve body's web page, for you to refer to. The RP46870 shower arm, which would be included with this trim is 16 inches long, and that is the longest shower arm that we make.

I have a T17253-SS-H20. What valve do I need for shower only using PEX tubing?
I have a T17253-SS-H20 Vero Shower. What valve do I need for shower only using PEX tubing?
Thanks,
Barbara
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17253-SS-H2O is recommended to be paired with our multi-choice valve, R10000-UNBXHF. This is our universal valve that will work with any application and get the highest flow of water.

I want to confirm the part numbers that I am going to buy for this shower system(stainless). Since the price is not cheap, I want to make the list looks correct to you. T17253-SS, R10000-UNBX, 57530-SS, T11853-SS, R11000, and 50570-SS. Are they correct
Thank you for your inquiry, Dingdc! Yes, the T17253-SS, R10000-UNBX, 57530-SS, T11853-SS, R11000 and 50570-SS can all be installed together, to complete a custom shower.
Best regards,
Tanya

trim installation on the 17 series T 17253 page 12 in manual picture c-2
How do you get the part #4 (control cover) of after installation without breaking the piece. It snapped on easy enough but how do you get it of? I am unable to turn the temperature controll piece more than 10 degrees which does not allow me to adjust any temperature. Any guidance???
Thank you for your question. To remove the temperature knob cover, we recommend squeezing the sides together slightly with one hand. Then with the other hand, grasp the knob sticking out and pop it off the faucet.

I'm trying to decide between a Vero T17253-SS and T17253-SSH2O shower head. I want the one with the most pressure from the jets.
Even though the H2O version uses less water, will it provide as much pressure to wrince hair during showering, or would the rain can version be better? Thanks.
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model T17253-SS will have an output of 2.5 gpm and T17253-SSH2O will have an output of 2.0 gpm but it feels like 2.5 gpm. It is really a personal preference as to the style that you prefer. One version is not better than the other.

How far down from the arm does the shower head extend towards the floor?
It looks like about 3" between the curve in the arm to the bottom of the shower head ? I am trying to determine the height I want the shower arm placed on the wall.
Hi CyndyD, Thank you for your question. The drop on the shower arm in the model T17253-SS is approximately 2" from the center of the horizontal tube to the bottom of the threads.
Thanks,
Dave

Does the shower head require any further support because of its length and size of shower head?
Hi Jeepdrvr,
Thanks for contacting Delta Faucet. No extra support is required for the showerhead on this faucet.
