With separate handles for volume and temperature control, this Delta tub/shower provides a more refined showering experience. Simply set the water at your preferred temperature and turn the shower on or off with the volume control handle - without interrupting your set temperature. While other products may gather unsightly mineral build-up over time, Delta soft rubber Touch-Clean® spray holes allow any mineral residue to simply be wiped away for an instantly refreshed look – with no need for soaking or the aid of chemical cleaners. Delta® pressure-balance valves use Monitor® Technology to protect you and your family from sudden temperature changes. Chrome has rapidly become one of the most popular finishes across décor styles in the bath thanks to its stunning gloss and innate versatility. Paired with crisp lines and bright whites, it creates a bold, modern contrast, but it works equally well with vintage styles and traditional spaces to convey a hint of nostalgia.

It was easy to install and the performance is excellent. The dual control for volume and temp lets you get exactly the shower stream you prefer. I was afraid that the limited shower head openings would greatly reduce the water volume but somehow it creates increased pressure to give a strong and adequate water stream for a great shower experience.

I'm wondering if I have everything I need to complete the installation. I need shower/tub spout/handshower setup. Do you need to purchase a universal Shower Valve Body separtely with the T17253 ??

Is there a Shower only valve that is recommended (no tub).

Contractor installed the shower faucet but it is not flush to the tile are there more detailed installation instructions

Step 1 covers the depth at which the valve should be plumbed to insure that the trim mounts properly. I bought 4 of these for new homes in California. They require max 2.0 GPM flow rate. Please let me know the spec and if we can use pressure reducer to meet the spec.

Thank you for your question, Hamid! Model T17253 has a shower head with a 2.5 gpm flow rate @ 80 PSI. Because the shower head is not WaterSense labeled, it can not be sold in, or shipped to the state of California. However, Model T17253-WE has the exact same design, and includes a shower head that is WaterSense labeled. Suitable installation height from floor to shower head for T17253?

I would like to know what the normal height from floor to shower head is to install for T17253.

Does a valve come with this shower or do I need to purchase one separately? If so, would the Multichoice Universal Valve be acceptable?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17253 does not include the valve in the box. It does need to be purchased separately. We recommend the R10000-UNBX rough-in valve.

What diverters and valves do I need to add a handshower to this?

Thank you for your question. When adding a hand shower to your existing faucet, we would recommend using Delta Faucet model #R11000 diverter rough and Delta Faucet model #T11853 3-setting 2-port diverter trim.
