With separate handles for volume and temperature control, this Delta tub/shower provides a more refined showering experience. Simply set the water at your preferred temperature and turn the shower on or off with the volume control handle - without interrupting your set temperature. While other products may gather unsightly mineral build-up over time, Delta soft rubber Touch-Clean® spray holes allow any mineral residue to simply be wiped away for an instantly refreshed look – with no need for soaking or the aid of chemical cleaners. Delta® pressure-balance valves use Monitor® Technology to protect you and your family from sudden temperature changes. The rainhead provides just the right amount of water flow. It will also tilt so you can adjust where you want it to. I love the modern look it has and installation was very easy as my husband and I done it ourselves.

I love the modern look it has.We have been using this for about a month now and I love everything about it. Being as its a rain head shower, the water pressure is steady but gentle. I really like how easy it is to keep clean to. Installation was very easy as my husband and I done it ourselves with no trouble.

I have wanted one for a long time, and I am not kidding when I say that it meets every expectation I had. It is beautiful! I chose the stainless finish to match my bathroom fixtures. Very sleek and modern! The shower experience is a dream. I love the feel of the rain shower, and I really enjoy the fact that the rain shower head sprays from above my body. No need to "lean in" to get wet. Every shower is now like a spa experience. I feel spoiled and well-cared for. Another great touch is the handle lever to turn on the water. It allows the user to leave the temperature set at a certain point. Turning the water on and off does not disturb the temperature setting. I appreciate the fact that the rain shower head is easy to clean. My area does have hard water, and I don't have to struggle to keep this one clean of build-up. Installing the rain shower head and temperature lever is fairly simple, according to my husband. We did choose to remove the former 3-piece plastic shower walls, and replace them with new subway tiles. That was something we had intended to switch anyway. The new Delta rain shower on/off, temperature lever is rectangle shaped, and our old shower lever was round. Now, we have a seamless fit, an upscale shower head, and enjoy spa quality showers every day. I commend Delta for creating such a high quality shower head, that is also eye-candy. The experience is amazing! For the past month, every time I have visitors, I march everyone upstairs to my bathroom so they can admire my new rain shower head. I kid you not when I say that every single person is envious. I highly recommend this product to anyone who showers. Well worth the cost and installation!

Went through several sessions with the tech call center and replaced the cartridge in the valve but can't get temperature above 107f.

This faucet provides easy adjustability for both. It also has a very solid stop/off. Spray options are great. The temperature gets reduced when water gets reduced, but can probably adjust valve on this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not quite While we love the functionality of the our Vero-1701 shower system, the rain shower head just doesn't deliver. It may be a function of our water pressure regulator we decided to install because of excessive pressure from the city, but I now believe it is more the size of the rain shower head. It's designed and was installed like a normal shower head but attempts to be shower can...not quite. There just isn't enough surface area to make it a good rain shower head. I've had a true rain shower from the ceiling that was about 1 1/2 times the size of the Vero...it worked. This does not...our next attempt will be the Delta - Delta 52664 1.75 GPM 5-13/16" Wide Multi Function Shower Head with H2O kinetic and Touch-Clean® Technologies. Let's see what happens there...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beautiful clean, modern shower fitting that works ! This product looks much more expensive than it is. The clean lines are European in feel and suit the bathroom to a "T". It was used in a small shower in a guest bathroom with Dryden vanity fittings because the shower head was proportionally a better fit.

The rainfall shower head leaked right away, Delta replaced it with no question but the new one leaked just as bad. Tried filling it full of caulk etc. but nothing worked. It's not the screws! It's the untested design. Just said forget it and never used it. It's been installed for 2 years. It's too bad, we're redoing our master now and have to look at something else.

The shower head is already leaking out of the seams on the top. It looks great but cheaply made. Buy something else. I am already looking for a replacement shower head.

I'm wondering if I have everything I need to complete the installation. I need shower/tub spout/handshower setup. Do you need to purchase a universal Shower Valve Body separtely with the T17253 ??

Is there a Shower only valve that is recommended (no tub).

Step 1 covers the depth at which the valve should be plumbed to insure that the trim mounts properly. I bought 4 of these for new homes in California. They require max 2.0 GPM flow rate. Please let me know the spec and if we can use pressure reducer to meet the spec.

Thank you for your question, Hamid! Model T17253 has a shower head with a 2.5 gpm flow rate @ 80 PSI. Because the shower head is not WaterSense labeled, it can not be sold in, or shipped to the state of California. However, Model T17253-WE has the exact same design, and includes a shower head that is WaterSense labeled. Suitable installation height from floor to shower head for T17253?

I would like to know what the normal height from floor to shower head is to install for T17253.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17253 does not include the valve in the box. It does need to be purchased separately. We recommend the R10000-UNBX rough-in valve.

What diverters and valves do I need to add a handshower to this?

Thank you for your question. When adding a hand shower to your existing faucet, we would recommend using Delta Faucet model #R11000 diverter rough and Delta Faucet model #T11853 3-setting 2-port diverter trim.
