1.7 GPM feels like 2-2.5 GPM
I was skeptical about this product due to the minimal number of holes on the showerhead. Let me tell you, the engineering on this shower head isnt just a gimmick. I used to have a 9" rain head. This thing feels much better than what i used to have (and that one put out 2.5 GPM). The finish is quite nice. I chose black. Doesnt look like it will scratch easily or tarnish, but time will tell. I have never had any issues with any of my Delta products in the past, and i dont foresee any issues with this one considering that this is more premium than my previous Delta products.

Looks nice. No selections on shower head and not enough volume.

Still may favorite line of bath faucets and accessories!
I've installed these for a few customers, and they'll be going in my own home also. Keep in mind that a competent, literate, licensed plumber should complete the rough-in. That will prevent some "problems" others have reported.
The quality and finish are great, intuitive to install and use.

Works fine so far
Got this system for my master shower in our new home build. I like how it looks, and it works fine, but I was hoping for more water pressure -- in the want especially. You can barely spray the walls with the hose to get soap or cleaner off, as the water pressure isn't the match.

It must suck as a company to deal with poor reviews from people who have either installed it incorrectly themselves or paid for improper installation. I've installed many of these and they work beautifully every time.
Works great, pressure is good, ease off install is great. If you lack water pressure in your shower it is 99% likely to be an installation error in either the valve itself or the water lines leading up to it. Stop blaming the product and blame your contractor.

Trinsic Fan for life
Third set of the Trinsic series shower heads we have purchased, and this is the first we have added a sprayer. We love it! It's also got a hold setting so you can turn off the water and turn it back on at the same temp! Love the minimal aesthetic. Only complaint—the black shows hard water stains really easily, but the matte finish makes it worth it.

I wish the stream were adjustable. Aside from that, it’s heavy, not cheap plastic, like so many. Looks great with our other black/brass fixtures. We love the additional hand sprayer.
I do wipe the water off after showers to prevent spotting.

Water Flow Restrictor***
I’m right behind most reviews on the poor water pressure. For anyone with a thin metal tip(like a knife) doesn’t need to be sharp and a needle can knock this out in under five minutes. Take the shower head off and you’ll see in the nozzle and metal screen. It’s surrounded and attached to this rubber ring. Careful not to hack at it but along the threads on the rubber ring use your tip to gently pull it up. Once you’ve done that you’ll see the blue valve which is ultimately the restrictor. But what you need to focus on is the black ring in the center. Get your needle and pop that sucker out. Very easy. Now you’ll see all those little hole that rubber ring was concealing. That’s your pressure problem. Be sure to put that rubber ring and screen in properly. Work the edges as you go around to make sure it’s back down with the threads. I hope this review reaches the others that paid big money for poor pressure. Good luck and enjoy that pressure.

Very poor water pressure
I really liked the design of this shower system, but functionally it's horrible. Not enough water pressure at all. There's also no option to change the water flow. I would not recommend this at all.

Was Delta faithful, no more.
I've had Delta fixtures for years, still have several in use in a 2nd home, no complaints until now! I purchased a new home that had these installed heads in all the bathrooms and they are without question the worst heads we've ever had! There is absolutely no water pressure, at best, they "spit!" (And one has a constant drip from the back of the head.) We know it's not the the water pressure in the home as one is in the same shower as a Delta handheld and it has normal pressure, as do all the other fixtures in the remaining bathrooms throughout the house. To add insult to injury a few are the stainless finish which is a nightmare to keep clean- everything shows- you'd never know they were all brand new as they old and discolored. So between the lack of follow up on a Delta warranty for a part in need of replacement in another home (extremely long hold times, no follow up after I replied to their email etc) and the poor function of these heads, I'm done with Delta. My husband asks daily when I'm going to replace them but given there are seven it is no small expense and I'm disgusted that I even have to do it.

Very nice shower faucet and handle
We have had this installed for about a month now and like it very much. It is attractive and the handle with separate temperature control works very well. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that I wish the water pressure it puts out was a little higher.

Great So Far
I was apprehensive about the shower rate of 1.75 GPM, but I find it to be plenty -- the H2Okinetic technology works for me. The dual-function control levers are smooth and feel solid. (This system was installed by a plumber.) The Matte Black finish looks great and is holding up after 6 months.

Just like other reviewers the finish on our shower system began preliminary within the first year. It’s disappointing, this also happened on our trinsic faucets and seems t e an overall issue with delta matte black products.

Not For Us
This Delta DSS Trinsic 1701 does not work for us. Not enough water flow/pressure to get the job done. Plenty of hot water and pressure elsewhere in our new home but not in master bath. Love the look but function is not there. We wasted hundreds of $s on what we were told was an excellent fixture. If there is a fix I would love for Delta to post it.

leaks, poor pressure
Turned on the water after the shower kit was installed by a plumber and a steady stream of water flowed out of the face of the shower head at the perimeter I don't know if this is the cause, but the stream is also very weak.. Can't return it since it's been installed, so now I get to deal with Delta and see if they will honor the warranty.

Cheap looking
Ordered the entire line up for my bathroom remodel, down to the robe hooks. Started opening the fixtures and noticed the bath filler is plastic and has already arrived chipped. Also, the color finish from item to item (even items boxed together) varied. Some were darker than others, while some looked chrome. Not impressed at all by this set. We did return and are exploring different brands. I can not speak for usage as we did not install. I can only speak in first impressions.

Hate the showerhead
I bought the one in brushed nickel. The shower head came in chrome not nickel. The spray of the head is weird. It is not a straight spray. So if you want to get to the edge of the spray and just spray one part, you can't really do that because the water moves.
It is not at all a powerful spray. I really hate the shower head.
I mainly bought this because it came as a set. I bought it for the separate temperature controller and separate sprayer. This knob to control the spray and temperature is very stiff. I believe my installer switched the hot and cold. It's not very easy to control the temperature, but it does work.

Water won't get hot
Looks nice, but it won't get hot water. Stays a bland 110 degrees (at most).
I suppose it's the stupid "eco-friendly feature". Who invents these stupid things. ITS INFURIATING.
Water won't get hot enough. If I want to turn up the friggin water to be hotter, it won't let me. Surely when I turn on Hot Water...I want to get Hot Water. I don't want a mix of hot and cold when I turn on HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can we use this to replace out Delta Monitor 17 Multichoice? We wouldn't be able to accommodate the two square-shaped sprayers since we don't have plumbing for that...

I just installed this and noticed the water is not heating well. The hot side of the valve is correctly installed and I removed the shower stop ring so that the water control can go as hot as possible. still luke warm compared to the hot faucet. Help!

Thank you for your question. The Delta Trinsic Shower T17259-BL contains a rotational limit stop that may need adjusting to allow more hot water to flow through the valve. Included here are the instructions for adjusting the limit stop. The limit stop should not be removed from the cartridge assemby. The directions are on page 9 of this booket.

Will I be able to upgrade?
I currently have a series 1400 shower trim and I have a few questions:
1- will I be able to upgrade to the trinsic 17 series without digging up our tile wall to change the valve?
2- is there a tub facet that will match this set?

Thank you for your question. If you have a multi-choice valve in your wall with the 1400 series you have now, then you will be able to upgrade to the 1700 Trinsic series. However, if your valve is not a multi-choice valve(Delta Faucet model R10000), then you will not be able to upgrade to the 1700 series without replacing the valve.
Trinsic does offer a 1400 series tub and shower which is model # T14459 and a 1700 series tub and shower which is model # T17459. There is not a tub only available model in either level.
