Great Shower Head!

The handheld part is easy to use and great for rinsing off or cleaning the shower. It was simple to install and looks good too.

Wonderful Hand Held Shower Head from Delta

We both have been very pleased with this product. It has several different flow patterns to choose from and is extremely easy to change from one to the other. Looks great with our other Tetra bath products.

All Great Except for Water Spots
We’ve had this set now for about 9 months. I installed it myself and the kids have been using it. For us, the temp knob is a must for child safely. The extra long spout prevents water from splashing up on the tub edge. The small shower handle is ok, but doesn’t fully stop sometimes when you press the button.
The only real downside is the water spot issue. You can see in my photos how prominent the spots can get, even with cleaning often.

We have a Trinsic shower head, can we replace it with Tetra

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T17489-BL.
The included showerhead can replace any of our showerheads. Our shower arms have a standard thread size.
To use this trim kit, an R10000 MulitChoice valve should be installed. A Trinsic trim kit should have the required MultiChoice valve installed.

We just go this shower installed in our new bathroom. We love it but cannot figure out how to activate the pause function. Can you help me?

Pause is one of the hand shower settings. Rotate the lever to the hand shower only and push the button on the hand shower to change the spray setting. The pause function will reduce the flow from the hand shower to a trickle.

Will the T17089-PR fit the DELTA RP29827 renovation cover plate used to cover two holes left by previous two faucet unit? If not, is there a cover plate that will work with T17089-PR?

Is the finish actual metal/chrome or is it plastic with chrome color

Can I do a simple replacement of the Delta Tub/Shower T13022 value (its over 20 yrs old) with a Delta MultiChoice Delta Tub/Shower T17089-PR valve and the Delta RP102060PCPR Diverter Tub Spout? From taking it apart it does not seem like it will work.

No, the older 1300 series valves are not compatible with our newer 1700 series trims. You can use our current 1300/1400 series tub/shower trims, however, the new cartridges that are included are not compatible with the older valves. The RP19804 will need to be purchased separately.

How to adjust the water pressure for the 17 series? There isn't enough water pressure. It has two turn handles one for water pressure and one for hot cold water. T17089-SS-PR and the Delta Faucet R10000-UNBX MultiChoice Universal Tub and Shower Valve.

is there a restriction valve that can be adjusted? We do not get sufficient volume of water to make the shower head provide adequate spray of water.
T17089SS-PR installation: Replacing 30 yr old Delta trim, keeping original cartridge. I installed the bracket over sleeve and O-ring. But the sleeve is too short (or cartridge too long), as control handle only slides so far up the cartridge. Help?

To adjust your 1700 series temperature for hotter water, please follow the instructions below.
You shouldn't need to shut your water off but keep in mind it is still possible for the water to turn on if the stem is rotated. You will need allen wrenches.
1. Remove the button under the temperature cap. You will then see a set screw that will also need to be removed.
2. Once this piece is removed, you will see a brass stem with splines. Remove the screw and the spline revealing the black "cog" piece. This is your Rotational Limit Stop and allows you to rotate it for your preferred temperature.
3. Please note If the max temperature is not achieved before the limit stop on the temperature knob meets the limit stop on the volume control handle: Remove the temperature control knob from the splines. Rotate the temperature control knob clockwise. Place the temperature control knob back onto the splines and continue to rotate counter-clockwise until the maximum desired temperature is achieved. Remove the temperature knob and place it back onto the splines, making sure that the temperature knob limit stop hits against the volume handle limit stop
*Please note there is a limit of how far this will rotate, if you rotate to the hottest setting it will be the same temperature as your water heater. This is not recommended as it can cause scalding. (not more than 120° or the lower temperature mandated by your local plumbing code)
You have rotated your temperature to receive hotter water! Turn your water on and see if this is your desired temperature. Please rotate the showerhead away from you so you do not get scalded while testing this.
