Rated 1 out of 5 by from The finish showed water spots from day 1 I don't hate the stream of water from this showerhead, but you should know that it is very simple- no other settings. Also know that the controller trim is partially plastic and not solid feeling. Something behind the trim is metal though, because it is rusting and dripping down onto my new white grout and tile (Delta is sending a replacement cartridge; plumber insists it is not a cartridge issue, but when the plumber tried to call to discuss it with Delta, Delta required that I be the one to call them- of course I don't know plumbing, I just own the shower). Even if we chalk the rusting up to a fixable fluke, the horrible water spotting on the shower head and controller can't be ignored. It's what I would expect from a $30 generic trim. Note that this shower is 3.5 months old, used for two showers per day, gets professionally cleaned weekly, and we have a water softener. Delta's answer to the water spots was to use water and vinegar for cleaning; that did nothing to improve or remove spots. I noticed water spotting the first day it was installed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst shower head EVER! The water barely dribbles out of this thing. We have a Delta Dryden shower head in our guest bath and it works just fine. Both of them were installed by the same plumber. I am beyond disappointed as we have been waiting to finish this bathroom remodel for a long time If this is what we can expect from Delta, we will be using Kohler from now on.

I can’t find a single good thing to say about this abomination of a shower experience. I gave it a couple tries but wow- awful. Horrible flow, spray can’t be focused - I couldn’t get rid of it fast enough. For the record-this is the first and only negative review I have ever given for anything, anywhere. Usually try to make the best of things, but no way I could with this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from spray pattern not adjustable Love the valve with separate controls for temperature and flow rate. The shower head is a little disappointing. The shower head is oversized for what it does. The main problem is there is only one spray pattern meaning there is no way to get a focused spray when you want one. Overall, I don't enjoy the shower but my husband does.

I have a Delta Cassidy&trade; Monitor&reg; 17 Series H2Okinetic&reg; Shower Trim. The rotational limit stop is set highest temp position but water temp is less than 90 degrees. The hot water in the bathroom sinks/tub is 120. What is a solution to increase shower temp?

Hello! Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! To adjust your 1700 series temperature for hotter water, please follow the instructions below. Please turn the hot and cold water supplies off. Please gather a philips screwdriver. 1. Please remove the temperature cap located on the tip of your handle by placing your fingers on the 'pointer' of the temperature cap and peeling upwards. This will be a little difficult as it is clipped into the temperature knob. 2. Once this piece is removed, you will see a plastic piece held in by a philips screwdriver. Please remove this part and be very careful not to drop the screw or the Rotational Limit Stop (looks like a black cog). Please note this black cog piece goes in one way. 3. Pull the large handle off with the &quot;black cog&quot; piece and set it somewhere safe. 4. Slide the decorative sleeve off of the valve, you will now see a silver bonnet nut and a brass valve. 5. Please remove the bonnet nut with a strap wrench, then pull the cartridge out. 6. You will see a plastic piece in the back of the valve body that is holding o-rings and seats and springs. Please remove this part. 7. We recommend flushing the valve before installing the new cartridge assembly. 8. To flush the valve, please shut the shower curtain or shower door and turn the water on and let it flow for about 30 seconds to a minute. *Please note there is a limit to how far this will rotate, if you rotate to the hottest setting it will be the same temperature as your water heater. This is not recommended as it can cause scalding. Please also note that each notch you rotate to can range anywhere between 4 and 16 degrees Fahrenheit.* You have rotated your temperature to receive hotter water! Turn your water on and see if this is your desired temperature. We appreciate your inquiry. Please reach out directly if you have further questions! I ordered fixtures for 3 bathrooms in Stainless Steel finish, but I didn't realize until reading reviews that they get water spots. I assumed all Delta products were spot resistant like my current faucet is. Please advise.

Hi Iris, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T17297-SS. All of our finishes are designed for durability. Unfortunately, this faucet does not include SpotShield technology. Hard water spots are best avoided by wiping gently with a damp cloth and drying with a soft towel. If extra measures are needed, a solution of 50% distilled white vinegar (not apple cider or balsamic vinegar) and water could be used by wiping, spraying or soaking. How do I remove the handle?. The whole unit has become loose and I need to tighten

Hello ECK4488, Thank you for contacting us, I would be happy to help you. Removal of handles can be done by following the next few steps. First grab the wide part of the temperature handle, and pop/snap it off the temperature control. Next you will see a plastic part with a screw, those both would need to come off, so the volume control can be removed. Lastly grab the large volume handle and slide it off the stem of the cart. Hi what rough in valve is required to order to install a Delta T17237-SS

R10000-UNBXHF would be a typical choice for a shower-only valve with universal type fittings. Options are also available with PEX inlet connections.
