Rated 3 out of 5 by from Delta Dryden [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most of the shower trim package seems to be well made. Disappointed in the actual spout, it’s chrome plated plastic. For the price I would have thought it would have been metal. Just installed unit will have running this weekend.

I understand that some parts utilized in the shower and bath trim are plastic and some are metal. But in the external parts that can be seen, which of those parts are plastic and which are metal?

Unfortunately, we do not have a complete breakdown of the materials used; however, metal parts are usually brass (hub, handle, body, tube, fittings), zinc (escutcheon, hub, handle), or stainless steel (set screw, undercover plate). Quality is of high importance to us, and our products undergo rigorous testing to ensure high-quality performance. I purchased the Delta T17451-SS-WE and it states "Valve not included" what valve are they referring to? Do I need to purchase an additional item in order for this Tub and Shower trim to work? Please advise

Can tub fixture be eliminated? Want this for bath where there is only a shower—NO TUB

The tub spout for this Delta Faucet model T17451-CZ-WE doe snot need to be installed in order to function properly. However, you will want to ensure the R10000-UNWSHF rough-in valve is installed to accommodate a shower only application.
