Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome system from delta I was looking for a trim system to flip out my old 2006 Monitor 17 chrome setup that looked a bit dated. The delta rep told me I could use this system but to keep the white cartridge installed. All went to plan. I love this system. The metal parts (I got the stainless version) has some meat to it - and I dig the tub spout's waterfall effect in my jot tub. Both levers are pretty smooth in movement and are a definite improvement. Most of all, I'm happy I didn't have to switch to the multiswitch valve and do plumbing work to get this installed. As for fingerprints - I use the same stainless steel polish I use in the kitchen and it's hydrophobic enough thatt the water just rolls off the fixtures. To those complaining - you may have finger prints but the escutcheon and other parts are all metal. Has a good quality feel for it. Nothing beats delta/brizo. Support is top notch and they've gone to town for me for years with any issue (eeven old Brizo stuff)

I would recommend this fixture to everyone who is replacing or renovating their bathroom. I was not offered any incentives to rate this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Design I spent a lot of money switching to a rainhead shower and it’s been very disappointing. The head leaks through the back/top panel creating a mess. The bar also doesn’t come out far enough when part of a tub kit. You have to stand uncomfortably close to spouts/walls unless angle the head which defeats the purpose. Horrible design and quality, massive waste of money.

I want to add a Vero handshower bar to this setup.

What do I need to buy to make it all work together? What rough-in do I need to buy? How can I switch from tub to Rainshower to handshower? Can handshower work with rainshower at the same time?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17453-SS can be paired with Delta Faucet model # R11000 rough-in diverter and T11853-SS diverter trim. You will then be able to divert from your showerhead to your handheld shower. We have 2 handheld showers in the Vero collections. They are model numbers 55530-SS(wall mount) and 57530-SS(slide bar mount). You will also need a wall supply elbow and we have 2 to chose from there-50570-SS is square, and 50560-SS is round.

Tub Spout has pull up handle

We are adding the hand held shower to this unit. I understand we need the T11853 diverter to make this work. Does this mean the pull up handle on the tub spout is no longer needed? If that's the case, can we get a spout that doesn't have handle? Another question: We also need a R10000UNBX. Just curious why this doesn't come with the T17453. Thanks!

Hi Sam, Thank you for your question! When you turn the water on, it will automatically go to the spout. You will need to have a diverter spout to send the water up to the 3-Setting Diverter, which will then route the water to the shower head, hand shower, or both. The rough-in valves are sold separately to allow you to choose which R10000 to get. We offer different versions depending on the application, such as what type of piping will be used, whether you prefer stops (WS), or need higher flow (HF). Height Installation recommendation

At what height do you recommend that the showerbar is installed? Also do you have recommendations on what the ideal height and configuraton for the rough-in control, diverter, handheld shower and two body jets as were are installing a complete shower package in this series.

Thank you for your questions. Unfortunately, we do not have a good recommendation for you. It is a personal preference where to install your components. It will depend on who is using the shower and how tall they are so they get the best shower experience.

Hello there, I did a shower with a hand held and swallow mounted shower head using a three way diverter valve. Can I use the same set up and add the tub spout first in the flow chain and utilize the diverter in the spout or do I need a 4 way?

The Delta Faucet model R11000 3- And 6-Setting Diverter Rough is compatible with a tub spout, but can reduce the flow to the spout because the outlet of the diverter rough does not receive as much pressure as a tub spout port on a regular shower rough-in valve would. Monitor® 17 Series Tub & Shower Trim In Chrome The temperature control on shower unit is coming loose. How can I tighten it?

Hi Cairlinn, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T17453. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! The screw under the temperature knob cover can be tightened but it should not be over-tightened. The finished cover is snapped onto tabs on the sides of the knob. i want to add a handheld unit to this system how can i accomplish that? do i need another trim kit and valve or something or is it possible to add to this setup somehow?
