Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome system from delta I was looking for a trim system to flip out my old 2006 Monitor 17 chrome setup that looked a bit dated. The delta rep told me I could use this system but to keep the white cartridge installed. All went to plan. I love this system. The metal parts (I got the stainless version) has some meat to it - and I dig the tub spout's waterfall effect in my jot tub. Both levers are pretty smooth in movement and are a definite improvement. Most of all, I'm happy I didn't have to switch to the multiswitch valve and do plumbing work to get this installed. As for fingerprints - I use the same stainless steel polish I use in the kitchen and it's hydrophobic enough thatt the water just rolls off the fixtures. To those complaining - you may have finger prints but the escutcheon and other parts are all metal. Has a good quality feel for it. Nothing beats delta/brizo. Support is top notch and they've gone to town for me for years with any issue (eeven old Brizo stuff)

I would recommend this fixture to everyone who is replacing or renovating their bathroom. I was not offered any incentives to rate this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Design I spent a lot of money switching to a rainhead shower and it’s been very disappointing. The head leaks through the back/top panel creating a mess. The bar also doesn’t come out far enough when part of a tub kit. You have to stand uncomfortably close to spouts/walls unless angle the head which defeats the purpose. Horrible design and quality, massive waste of money.

Can this system also be combined with the hand-held 57530 Vero Full Slide Bar Shower Head? Would I need to purchase any other parts?

To use both the shower head from the Delta Monitor T17453-CZ and the hand shower from the Delta 57530 Vero Full Slide Bar, we do recommend to add the matching diverter trim kit and diverter rough valve body, R11000. Slip-On tub spout installation

In case C_1 - "Slip-On tub spout installation" in manual, for the spout included in the pack, there is no O-ring inside the spout touching cooper pipe and so water will leak. Also if you slide spout over copper tube there is no set screw under it to tighten. So what is the solution?

Thank you for your question Ali. Model # T17453 has a tub spout that can be either sweat onto a 1/2" copper pipe or thread onto a 1/2" iron pipe. The RP12307 adapter assembly is included for this purpose. I apologize for any confusion as the instructions show general installation methods which vary from home to home. Best regards, Edward

What is the area coverage of the shower head square?

The shower head that comes with the Delta Vero Tub and Shower Trim T17453, is a full body spray patterned shower head that is 8 5/8" across and 5 11/16" in length. The spray pattern will be larger than just the size of the shower head itself depending on pressure and distance. Best regards, Tanya

tub spout installation

Need confirmation regarding copper pipe type installation of the Vero tub spout. With respect to the supplied adapter (o-ring on one end and double-sided thread other end), the o-ring end is always towards the tub spout? The schematic picture on the spout packaging seems to indicate this as the direction, but the adapter will only screw in so far. Which end is soldered onto the copper pipe?

What is the maximum length of shower head extension?

Would like to extend shower head from wall 20-24" inches. Will it be able to handle weight of shower head. Does Delta sell anything longer than 16" inches?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17453 has a shower arm that extends out for 15-9/32 inches. We do manufacture a shower arm that extends from 13"-22" and that model number is U6930.

For the tub and shower trim T17453, if I want to add a handheld shower such as 57530, will the following be all that I need? One of the R10000 multichoice rough valves, R11000 diverter rough, T11853 3-setting 2-port diverter trim, elbow for handshower?
