The mode selector on the hand shower provides the spray settings: Full Body Spray, Massage Spray, Full Body with Massage Spray, and Pause. The lever, on the right side of the shower head, would allow for shower head and hand shower individually and shared. Hello David, Thank you for your question! We apologize for the leak you are experiencing and will be happy to help you. The Delta Faucet Ashlyn Monitor 17 Series Shower Trim With In2ition In Chrome MODEL: T17464-I will need the seats and spring replaced from inside the cartridge. We also recommend flushing the unit. The most common cause of a leak rate is debris. The best way to clear any debris is to flush the supply lines. To do this, turn off the water supplies, remove the cartridge, and turn the supplies back on for one minute. Please make sure that you are getting good flow through both the hot and cold sides while flushing. You can also shake the cartridge back and forth to make sure the back half of the cartridge rattles. This means that the pressure-balancing spool is moving freely, as it should. If it does not, you can try soaking the cartridge in white vinegar for about 15-30 minutes. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We look forward to continuing to serve you. With any hand shower, the part that you would grab onto is typically made of plastic or a plastic mixture, as metal is heavier, susceptible to corrosion, and retains heat. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to the build-up of mineral deposits, and we recommend blotting the faucet dry with a microfiber cloth after use to prevent this from happening. However, water spots and fingerprints can be easily cleaned by wiping the finish with a damp cloth. If additional cleaning is needed, we recommend using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water.
