Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's Plastic I bought this a few days ago for our bathroom remodel. I had previously purchased a sink faucet in the Cassidy style, and wanted to match the tub/shower. I arrived today, and it's mostly plastic. The shower head, the tub faucet, and most of the parts for the cover of the valves are plastic. I assumed it would be metal when they ask what type of "finish" to choose when you're ordering. I will be returning this one, and in search of a metal set.

how do I get more hot water coming out of the faucet

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model #T17497 includes a rotational limit stop to prevent scalding. It may be that your limit stop is set to low for your taste. It can be adjusted. Included here are the instruction for your faucet. Why is there a small ding or dent in the faucet cover plate trim on the bottom of the inner circle closet to the center of the trim ring? I ordered one and thought it was just a defect so re ordered and the new one has it also.

How do you know which show heads are adjustable/moveable?

What are the parts made of - plastic or metal?

I've purchased the Cassidy faucet (597LF-MPU) in polished nickel and love it! I was considering buying the matching shower and tub components. The display model at the store feels like only the handle is metal. The rest of the parts - tub spout, shower head, etc. - feel like plastic. Could you please clarify what they are made of? The sink faucet is so heavy duty and I was hoping for the same for the tub/shower fixtures. Thank you

The escutcheon, volume control handle, shower arm, and shower arm flange are metal components. The showerhead, tub spout, and temperature control knob are non-metallic. Thanks, Dave

How can I stop water from coming out the shower head when the tub spigot is the on?

When I turn the handle on water comes out the shower head as well as the spigot...

Thank you for your question. Based on your description, it sounds like you may have what is called shower rise. This can be fixed by making sure all of these rules are being followed: 1) The distance between your valve and tub spout is between 8 and 18 inches. 2) The piping between the valve and the tub spout has to be copper or iron pipe. It cannot be PVC. 3) There can only be one 90 degree angle from the valve to the tub drop.

Will this work with an existing Delta rough in module installed in a tub/shower module in 1997. The current unit is a Delta Series 1400 shower/tub trim. It uses an RP19804 cartridge. Want to avoid changing the rough in valve and opening the wall.
