Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best shower handle ever! I used to have to fiddle with our other handle for about ten minutes to get the water temperature just right. This one is instant and always just right. I love it!

Q&A

How do you remove the handle

Asked by: Mumbean
Hi Mumbean, thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! To remove the handle on our T17T059-SS please refer to the instructions below. You shouldn't need to shut your water off but keep in mind it is still possible for the water to turn on if the stem is rotated. Please gather a philips screwdriver. 1. Please remove the temperature cap located on the tip of your handle. You may need a wooden toothpick to help remove this part, you can use your palm to rotate it off, some will have a set screw under the temperature lever handle and some may need to be peeled off. Please view pg. 6 of the M&I. Include link if possible. 2. Once this piece is removed, you will see a brass stem with splines. Place the temperature handle on the splines and rotate counter-clockwise until you reach your desired temperature. (not more than 120° or the lower temperature mandated by your local plumbing code) 3. Please note If the max temperature is not achieved before limit stop on the temperature knob meets the limit stop on the volume control handle: Remove the temperature control knob from the splines. Rotate the temperature control knob clockwise. Place the temperature control knob back onto the splines and continue to rotate counter-clockwise until the maximum desired temperature is achieved. Remove the temperature knob and place it back onto the splines, making sure that the temperature knob limit stop hits against the volume handle limit stop *Please note there is a limit of how far this will rotate, if you rotate to the hottest setting it will be the same temperature as your water heater. This is not recommended as it can cause scalding. You have rotated your temperature to receive hotter water! Turn your water on and see if this is your desired temperature. Please rotate the showerhead away from you so you do not get scalded while testing this. We appreciate your inquiry. Please reach out directly if you have further questions! I have the Trinsic model T17T259-CZH20-R. The water is not hot enough and I'm thinking that the front lever can be adjusted. There is an alan screw on the water flow part but not on hot and cold water control. Does this just pull off?

Asked by: Don514

Can this be installed without a tub spout? I'd like a shower head only with thermostatic so it doesn't need a diverter.

Images on other sites seem to show that there are exposed mounting screw heads but the Delta site does not. Are the mounting screw heads exposed? If not, is there a version I need to check to ensure that the heads are not exposed? Thanks

Asked by: Steph
Hi Steph, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T17T059-CZ. For trims produced after 03/31/2025, the screws are behind the escutcheon plate, instead of through the plate and exposed. The date of manufacture is the label on the side of the box. Please reach out with any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan Digital Communications Specialist
