I was so excited to see this shower system in the showroom. It is beautiful and just what I wanted for my primary bathroom renovation. I chose the chrome finish since that looked the best with the quartzite and marble I picked out for the vanity & shower. I can't wait for the renovation to be completed.

Could this shower head be tilted to be angled by adding an extra piece between arm and head?
I had this installed, but would like an angled head. I do not want to replace the arm.

Thank you for your question. The showerhead of the Delta Cassidy Shower T17T297 unit, does slightly tilt up, down, right and left. However, we can not guarantee the showerhead will attach to any other adapters or connectors, we do not make any.

What would be the standard mounting height for rain shower head T97T2297 with 9' ceiling height?

I just had this shower head and valve installed in our master bathroom. I noticed that when we move the volume control handle the temperature knob moves with it. Is it supposed to move together? If not, do you know what might be wrong?
Thank you for your question, Mark63! The Temperature knob is held on to the Volume control handle with a Phillips head screw. If this screw is over-tightened, the temperature knob can not move independently of the volume control.

Shower drain piece
I recently had this item installed in my new home and was dismayed to see there was not a shower drain trim piece included. That's kind of essential. Is one available in the venetian bronze finish? Thank you.

Recommended shower head
I am remodeling my shower and am trying to make it doorless. I have heard that rain showers will minimize splashing. However, I am concerned about here not being enough pressure. Any recommendations on a rain shower head that swivels and has different settings? Also, I see the new Cassidy shower head coming out soon. Do you have more info such as dimensions and if it swivels or has different spray settings?
Thank you for your question. We cannot recommend one raincan over another raincan. They are all going to have about the same splash range. The Cassidy raincan showerhead is 8 inches in diameter and is single function and does swivel. We do not manufacture a raincan showerhead with a multi function setting.

How do you attach the hand held shower head to the model?

What is the measurment from the top of the arch of the shower arm to the bottom of the shower head?

my temperature control gives hot or cold but not warm. what are possible causes of this?
Thank you for your question, JoAnn! I do apologize that you are not getting warm water, but will be more than happy to help! If the RP47201 valve cartridge that this unit takes, is put in upside down, it can prevent the temperature from getting lukewarm. There is a H and C marking on the base of the cartridge along the black plastic. The H should generally be on the left and the C would be on the right. If you have a back to back installation, meaning hot water comes in on the right and cold water comes in on the left you would want to have the C facing the left and H facing the right.

What does the WE stand for? What is the difference between T17T297-SS and T17T297-SS-WE?

Thank you for your question. 'WE' on the Delta TempAssure T17T297-SS-WE Shower Trim Kit indicates the shower head is Water-Efficient. This will offer a flow rate of 1.75 gpm @ 80 psi. The Delta TempAssure T17T297-SS Shower Head will offer a flow rate of 2.50 gpm @ 80 psi.

Is all of the hardware in the picture included in the price?

TempAssure Question
Will the Tempassure feature prevent scalding should someone with a disability enter the shower and simply turn the valve to hot hot water only?
Hi Gay, Thank you for your question. TempAssure® Thermostatic valves monitor the temperature of the water and adjust the mix automatically to maintain precise temperature control and to keep the water temperature in your shower within a safe ±3.6° F (±1.7° C). This provides a more consistent temperature than pressure balanced valves can supply.
TempAssure valves also feature an adjustable high-temperature limit stop that when properly set helps ensure the handle cannot be turned to a position that is too hot for comfort. And because TempAssure measures the temperature of water, the handle limit stop will not need to be adjusted for seasonal ground water temperature changes.
Basically when you install the faucet you will set the max hot water temperature by adjusting the rotational limit stop to a safe/non scalding water temperature. The valve will not allow the temperature to exceed this limit.

My water company recently installed a new meter and when they turned the water back on, my shower head made a loud noise as air rushed through it. Then if began leaking badly out of the seems around the head (T17T297-PN). Can I replace the head?

My new Cassidy 17T shower control was just installed by a plumber. I took my first shower and the temperature control doesn't allow for enough cold water to have a comfortable shower. The water is too warm even at the coldest setting.

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T17T297-SS. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help!
This may be caused by the cartridge being reversed or by reversed supplies. Due to the way thermostatic valves are designed, the cartridge is expecting to get hot water from a specific inlet. If the cartridge is put in upside down, it can cause no water flow, low water flow, varying temperatures, or only hot or cold water.
The easiest way to troubleshoot this is to flip the cartridge if it's not working properly. Shut off water supplies. Remove handle
assembly, trim sleeve, and bonnet nut. Check to make sure the “H” marking on the cartridge aligns with the hot inlet and the “C” marking on the cartridge aligns with the cold inlet to the valve body. See here for an installation video:

Is brilliance stainless and or stainless the same as brushed nickel for Delta Faucets?

Brushed Nickel has a semi-glossy or matte finish, easily displays spots, is more challenging to maintain, has an inferior type of finish, and is costly. Stainless Steel has a shiny and metallic finish, is highly resistant to spots, easier to maintain, has a superior type of finish and is not costly.
