can this be used for 2 functions instead of 3?

Thank you for your question. The Delta Monitor T24859-CZ Integrated Diverter and Valve Trim Kit does work include a diverter cartridge with 3 settings. If you would like only 2 settings/non shared function, we recommend purchasing the RP71718 diverter cartridge. Here is a link to the cartridge:

What is the difference between T 24897 SS And T 24899 SS

Thank you for your question. The difference between the T24897-SS and T24899-SS is the collection design style. The T24899-SS Pivotal faucet model is more of a square shape and the T24897-SS is circular shaped.

Hello, is there a way to use this diverter for three separate outlets - handheld shower, rain shower and bathtub spout? Do i need to buy a different cartridge for that? Thanks!

Thank you for your question. We do not recommend to connect the tub spout to the diverter as it will not completely shut off. If you must install the tub spout, we recommend to use a 6 setting diverter such as the T24959-SS. Here is a link to the unit:

We would like to be able to run standard shower head and a rain shower head independently. While also being able to run both at once. Will the r 22000 recommended with this package be able to do that?

Does this item include the rough-in valve or do I have to buy that separately, and if so what is the item number & price, and is it copper compatible?
Hi Corina,Thank you for your question. "T" stands for trim only. The T24859 does not include the rough in valve body. The R22000 is the rough in valve that needs to be ordered separately. Below is a link to pricing information of the valve:

Can I use both the rain shower and hand held with this diverter? Also, can the third diverter setting be used for a tub spout?

Thank you for your question. We do not recommend to connect the tub spout assembly to one of the diverter ports. The third setting would be a shared setting to have both the rain shower and hand shower on at the same time.
