Delta t24997 Shower Diverter
It was very easy to install and the Venetian Bronze looks great. It's very well made from quality materials. It easily changes through the six functions and it's perfect if you have body spays. My only dislikes are the price and the scald guard rotational limit stop not giving you more control of the hot water.

Shower Diverter
Works very well, easy to change from one function to another. My only issue is I was told (after it was installed!) that it has a function where it keeps the water from getting hot enough to scald anyone. Sounds good except I have to put the water heater as high as it will go to get a warm shower, it also makes the rest of the water in the house with the capacity to scald someone from the excessive heat. Wish there was a way to disable that feature. Otherwise, attractive and works well.

What is the difference between the 17 Series and 14 Series Traditional Valve Trims? How do we determine which diverter we need, a 3 Setting Diverter or a 6 Setting Diverter?
Thank you for your question, Renee! The Monitor 14 series will provide both volume and temperature control in one handle whereas the 17 series will provide the option of two levers, one for volume and the other for temperature which can be adjusted independently. A 3-setting diverter trim will switch between two individual products such as a shower head and hand shower with the option of using both at the same time. A 6-setting diverter trim will divert water between three products individually with three shared positions as well.

Shower faucet: what do the 3, 6 diverter settings do? The diverters I'm used to using are either engaged or not engaged. Not sure how these work Also, how does an integrated diverter differ from one that isn't integrated? Thanks, Mark

Thank you for your question. The 3 setting diverter assembly has 2 individual settings and 1 shared setting. For example, if you install a hand shower and shower head, you will have one setting for the shower head, one setting for the hand shower and a shared setting for both on at the same time.
For the 6 setting diverter assembly, you will have 3 individual settings and 3 shared settings.

Can you use a 6 setting diverter with tub spout?
Thank you for your question, Bren! The Delta 14 Series Traditional 6-Setting Diverter Valve Trim Kit T24997, unfortunately cannot be used for tub spout water supply because it does not have a bottom port for tub spout installation.

Can the scald setting be adjusrted? This unit was installed in my new shower and the water does not get hot enough for us.

How do you tighten loose longer handle on model T-24997-SS? Thanks

The volume handle on this model tightens with a 1/8" inch allen wrench. There will be a button covering the set screw under the lever part of the handle.

I want to use this trim. What diverter do I need to operate a shower head hand shower and tub spout?

Thank you for your question and we are happy to help. The Delta T24997 uses the RP46074 valve and would need one of our MultiChoice Universal Valves to install a hand held shower head, shower head, and tub spout. Hello, what additional pieces do I need for the T27997 Cassidy monitor 17 series. What is the difference of the T24997 14 series and what additional parts are required?
I have a model t24859 with a 3 setting diverted. Can I just change the diverter to make it a 6 setting diverter?
