Good quality, installation gotcha
In replacing a Delta roman tub faucet (set screw on rear of spout) I was advised by Delta that any of the trims beginning with T would work with the existing valve. Unfortunately they didn't indicate that the base of the 2705 series doesn't cover a secondary hole that was part of the existing trim. Before ordering, remove your existing trim and see if your deck has a second hole (used for a 1/4" pin that stabilized the existing spout-see photo). The solution per Delta support is to use BT-2710-SS. It doesn't use the hole, but the spout base is large enough to cover the hole. Or fill the hole with silicone.
Note: To align the handles you may need to disassemble and reverse the valve stem, not covered in the instructions.
Overall, a high quality, affordable trim kit but be aware of these issues.

I doesn't work like advertised
The description and picture says these are 1/4 turn lever handles....as one would expect lever handles to operate. Not so.. the required rough-in is 180 degree turn valve. so you need 1/4 stops. they are supposed to be supplied with the trim kit, (it even mentions them in the trim kit installation sheet??) but were not. I called Delta and they explained they don't supply 1/4 turn stops because then it would not have full flow capability...important for a tub...yes. The Delta rep. said you should set the lever handles like shown and they turn 180 degres toward you, but with handles on 8" centers they hit the spout. The solution would be to have a rough in valve made for full flow at 1/4 turn, but this doesn't exist. Funny, they got it right on the matching lav faucet. This one is a mess.

Are all Delta products compatible with older delta hardware? I need to replace an old triangle platform but don’t want to replace all the plumbing.

Is this or another trim kit available in brushed nickel. I have a 1997 roman tub with the inlet tube dated Nov 1995. I do not like chrome. The rough in assembly appears to be identical to the R2700. I

This stainless finish is a brushed finish similar to brushed nickel. We don't currently carry Roman tub filler trims in brushed nickel.

The spout has a machine seat in the base of the spout but the nipple sticking up through the tub doesn’t unless I have misplaced it . The stub has an internal thread for something to screw into it so the spout can sit down on an the set screw can be tight
