The Delta® MultiChoice® Integrated Shower Diverter consolidates custom shower design with its consumer-preferred streamlined style eliminating the need for an additional diverter valve. The traditional round style lends a timeless feel to your space. With three popular style choices to coordinate with any bathroom décor, it provides you the flexibility to select the type of custom shower functionality you prefer. With the MultiChoice® Universal system, you have the freedom to upgrade style and functionality later. And, because there’s no need to alter plumbing behind the wall, you save time, effort and money on future renovation updates.

Product valve replaced
The three point valve needed replaced and it was a new product. Once replaced, it’s working nicely. It is very attractive. I haven’t received the plumbing bill so I don’t know how much the return visit to replace the valve is going to cost me.

A great decition, Glad I did
Ive had this installed for a month. Easy to set up and operate.
Now there are other reviews about the Temp handle. I didn't have any problems with this. I set the temp and then made sure I snapped it in right. Clik and its done.
A great design, be patient, and do it right the first time.

Very happy with this diverter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the functionality of this diverter. Works great, has a really smooth feel as it moves. I love how it “saves” the heat level from the previous shower, since the on/off is a different lever. I used to get big temperature fluctuations when someone flushed the toilet somewhere else in the house. Not anymore! The only thing I don’t like is that it shows water spots of you don’t wipe it down when you get out of the shower.

What do I do if I only have 2 shower components and 3 settings?
I am about to install this in a stand-alone shower. I have an overhead shower head and a set of 3 body jet sprayers.
1. can I set it up so my settings are: (a: shower only, b: body only, c: both)?
2. if not, can how do I install it such that my settings are (a: shower, b: body, c: n/a)?

Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Traditional 17 Series Trim T27897-RB come with the 3-Setting Diverter (top handle). You would want to cap off the right side of the rough-in valve and plumb the body sprays to the left port of the valve.

What cartridges is included with the T27897-ss trim? I want the following shower functions: shower head only, handheld shower only, and both the shower head and handheld shower.

Thank you for your question. The T27897-SS has a Dual Function Pressure Balance Cartridge, RP46463, along with a 3 setting diverter cartridge assembly, RP51918. This will allow a shared setting for both units on at the same time and two individual settings.

Does this valve adjust water pressure or just turn on and off? The specifications states "Bottom handle controls on/off and ADJUSTS VOLUME; dial controls temperature", but many of these handles are just an on / off switch, so I wanted to confirm.

Installation options not clear.
We want this valve to work to choose only one of these three: (1) bath faucet to the tub, (2) shower head, and (3) hand shower.
Isn't there a three-position diverter that gives us this functionality?
Must we go with the 6-function diverter to get this functionality? That gives us 3 mixed ("shared") positions we don't want. Will the RP71718 "3-function non-shared" diverter do this?
Where are the diverter reference diagrams that show diversion for ALL 4 cartridges? RP71717, RP51918, RP71718, and RP51919.

Thank you for your question. The RP71718 3-Function Non-Shared Diverter Cartridge will give you this functionality. We recommend to use it with the T27997 trim so that the markings on the plate will align with the handle in all three positions.
Regarding the diagram, the positions will match the non-shared settings of the 6-Setting diverter.

Are the chrome handles and trim all metal, or plastic?

Thank you for your question. The Delta Monitor T27897 Integrated Valve and Diverter Trim Kit only works with the Delta MultiChoice Universal R22000 Integrated Valve and Diverter Rough. Here is a link to this rough valve body:

We do not recommend installing a tub spout on the R22000 Rough Valve Body as the tub spout will not have a positive shut off while a shower component is being used.
