PRODUCT FEATURES
The confident slant of the Pivotal® Bath Collection makes it a striking addition to a bathroom’s contemporary geometry for a look that makes a statement. Delta® showers with Monitor® pressure-balance valves are engineered to make sure you don’t experience a sudden and possibly unsafe change in water temperature as a result of running water elsewhere, such as using a dishwasher, flushing a toilet or running a washing machine. By integrating separate controls on one trim with the MultiChoice® Integrated Shower Diverter, we’ve streamlined installation and your shower style. With the MultiChoice Universal system, you have the freedom to upgrade style and functionality later. And, because there’s no need to alter plumbing behind the wall, you save time, effort and money on future renovation updates. With separate volume and temperature control on this model, simply set the water at your preferred temperature and turn the shower on or off with the volume control handle — without interrupting your set temperature. You can install with confidence, knowing that Delta showers are backed by our Lifetime Limited Warranty.
  • Lumicoat® Finishes are guaranteed to resist water spots and mineral buildup and easily wipe clean without chemicals or cleaners on the product’s most commonly touched areas

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking trim Sturdy great looking trim perfect for my bathroom remodel. I was between the Pivotal and Ara trim, but decided on the Pivotal for its construction quality. My one negative is the cost.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really Dissappointed We installed this product during our master bathroom renovation. Given the price and the sales pitch we thought we were buying a high end, quality product to match the rest of our renovation. Unfortunately, we couldn't be more disappointed with it. It has a VERY cheap, plastic feel to it. When you turn the volume or temperature setting the entire handle wiggles and feels loose, making it impossible to get the right setting you want. In fact it feels like it is going to break off. We thought we were buying something made of solid metal, it is NOT. Worst shower diverter I have ever owned. We may replace it, which will likely require additional tile work that was only installed a year ago.

Q&A

the temperature handle on my T27967 (black), that snaps on over the temperature control valve, doesn't stay in place. Any way to just get a replacement black plastic knob.

If I choose the T27899-SS shower control cover, what other valve bodies/cartidges do I need?

Nothing in the description identified compatible/required items. Which shower valve assembly do I need? Do I need a diverter valve assembly? Do I need any cartridges for the valve assembles?
Asked by: pixseal
Hello Pixseal, Thank you for your inquiry! To complete your install of the Delta 17 Series Integrated Diverter Trim - 3 Function Diverter Valve Trim T27899-SS, you will also need shower heads, hand shower and/or body sprays of your choice and the rough-in valve. The R22000 MultiChoice Universal Integrated Shower Diverter Rough-In would be the valve you need for your install. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/R22000 Best regards, Tanya

Does the T27899 have the multifunction diverter integrated into the trim kit? Either way where are the diverter functions detailed? ie. 1) A or B, 2) A or B or AB, 3) A or B or C or AB etc.

Asked by: Chuck
Hello Chuck, Thank you for your question. Yes, the top handle of the Delta Pivotal Integrated Valve Trim T27899 is used to control the three setting/functions. Please see page 8 section titled "Diverter Handle Reference Sheet" of the below Maintenance/Installation document link. The top row listed "Water Flow For 3 Function Diverter" would be the correct information for this unit. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/92345%20Rev%20C.pdf Best regards, Tanya

i am looking to install a walk in shower with 2 shower heads and a rain can. (2) T17251-SP & RP50841SS. What do i need so i can work both shower heads independently and also with the rain can? do i need diverters for both?

Asked by: steveo
Thank you for your question, steveo! In order to use more than two shower heads, you will need the 6-setting diverter trim, T27999-SS. You will also need to use the T27899-SS trim alone, as T17251-SP is a valve trim with shower head. The shower head for the Dryden series can be ordered separately as model number RP62283. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/T27999-SS https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/RP62283 Best regards, Edward

I have a deep soaking tub. I want to have non diverter tub spout,  shower and a rain bar overhead. Is there a 17T dual diverted valve that works? I am looking at the Pivotal series. What is the valve gpm?

Asked by: Dano
Hello Dano, Thank you for your question. The Delta Pivotal 17 Series Integrated 3-Function Diverter Trim T27899-SS is not designed to be used with a tub spout. However, you may connect a non-diverter tub spout to one of the diverter ports as a temperature tester. Since the flow rate from the spout would be lower than a standard installation, we do not recommended to use it as a tub filler. Alternatively, you can install an R10000 and R11000 valve with corresponding trim kits. The tub spout should be connected to the bottom port of an R10000 valve to provide sufficient flow to fill a tub. The maximum flow rate will depend mostly on the trim kit that you use, as the cartridge is where the water will be restricted the most. Here are the approximate maximum flow rates at 60 PSI per series: T248/T249 series - 5.0 GPM T278/T279 series - 5.8 GPM T27T8/T27T9 series - 7.2 GPM Best regards, Tanya

SHOULD THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL KNOB BE LOOSE? SHOULD THE KNOBS MOVE TOGETHER? how many settings are there. Counterclockwise is colder? Why no user manual with the fixture? T27899-SS

Asked by: Harvey
Hello Harvey! Thank you for your questions and we are happy to help! The Delta T27899-SS temperature handle should fit snug onto the volume control handle. The handles should not move together. The Delta T27899-SS can either be two or three functions depending on your set up. The handle moved counter-clockwise will make the water cooler. The manuals are linked below: https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-L-T27899%20Rev%20D.pdf https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/107532%20Rev%20C.pdf With any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly. Adding a ceiling rainfall shower head to an existing single showerhead (no tub). I want to use either shower head individually as well as simultaneously. For crimp pex, what rough valve do I need and which trim? I see t11800 and t27899. Differences?

Asked by: Ryan
Hello Ryan DIY, Thank you for contacting us, I would be happy to help you. You have two options for this type of set up: T11800 is just the diverter so you would still need the main valve, This will provide the settings you are looking for. T27899 and the R22000 are all you will need, This also will provide the single setting for two items and the 3 settings will have both items shared. Please contact us back if you have any questions or need further assistance.  Best Regards,  Nicole
