Diverter stripped
I finally took the faucet apart as the diverter knob fell off right after we bought this and have been unable to use the wand for the hand shower. After getting everything taken apart and trying to screw the knob back on it was stripped. We were only able to use the wand one time. Can we get the part sent to us for the diverter? The brass fitting and the knob threads are both stripped and won’t screw together.

Pivotal Roman tub with hand shower defective
I am a plumbing contractor in business for 20 years delta has always been a quality product that we recommend highly for custom builds when we were building our own house we went with the pivotal series in our master bath due to the contemporary look we have had several issues with the pivotal series only on our Roman tub the plastic locks that hold trims to tub are cheap and break the diverter issue with the finial breaks and or constantly strips threads on diverter and or the finial itself I would not recommend this series at all delta did send a replacement upon on original install due to the spout being milled wrong and spraying water on wall area when in use but since then there warranty has been fulfilled since they sent me a new trim kit in full for the money we paid for this faucet I am very disappointed and will likely refrain from recommending the brand in the future and that speaks volumes as we sell typically 100k to 150k of there faucets yearly ours wasn’t purchased through this site but I just want the public to be aware it’s defective and to look elsewhere

The Delta bath faucet fit really well in our bath, I really love this faucet it has a beautiful color to it and love the sprayer on it it’s easy to use when just taking a bath alone, this faucet was easy to install, even my family loves this too, I will purchase this faucet for our other bathroom tub as well and I definitely recommend it to others as well to try

The design look and feel of this item is absolutely gorgeous, perfect! Very eloquent & sleek making the bathtub and the whole bathroom look beautiful.
We’ve been working on finishing two bathrooms the last few months and this was the final piece to one. I have to be honest, this has been a little tricky but nothing that time and a lot of patience can’t handle! I’m still working on that. I would rather switch the handles to turn the other way but it would switch hot/cold. We may do that anyway, still seeing which way we want them. Those hiccups were expected with such a project, so I’m always prepared for that.
The hand shower is the added touch that I love so much! The water just feels so soft and flowy, it’s truly wonderful! Overall it’s just what I wanted, feels and looks Amazing and I’d recommend it to an experienced handy person although it can be done if you do have knowledge about it like myself. I just recommend that you allow yourself the time to do it properly, it takes a little time. Well worth it!

Once installed, how does the handheld sprayer turn on?

When installing the handles on to the stem body ,do I push down and turn? Can't seem to get the handles to hold down,do you know what I'am doing wrong?

Thank you for your question. To install the handles for the Delta T4799 Roman Tub faucet, rotate handle base clockwise, screwing it onto nut previously installed over the stem assembly until the handle base and gasket are firmly seated against deck and the handle base is aligned properly. NOTE: If the handle needs to be adjusted, rotate handle base counter-clockwise until loose and pull-up to remove.

How do you screw in the finial to the diverter assembly? There is no room to turn the finial behind the spout. Both have threads so it cannot be “snapped in.” RP40668 Roman Tub Hand Shower Diverter Valve & RP91923 Roman Tub Finial

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T4799-PR.
To connect the finial to the diverter assembly, first remove the spout and diverassembly. Put the finial on the back of the spout, insert the diverter assembly into the bottom of the spout, and screw the diverter assembly onto the finial.

T4799-BL - The rod on the finial has broken and I'm trying to replace with a new finial. I have the spout removed but not sure if the finial can be replaced without removing the diverter assembly from the tub? Is there a procedure for this repair? Thanks

I installed this tub filler with holes drilled 8" on center. The handles turn 180 degrees and hit the faucet. The installation instructions say I can install at 8 to 16 inches on center. Are the handles supposed to stop at 90 degrees?

No, the handles will rotate to a full 180 degrees. If you want to stop the handles at 90 degrees, you can purchase the 1/4" turn stops separately. Please keep in mind the flow of water may be a little less than what it is now if you install 1/4" turn stops.

Finial installation of T4799-PR doesn't match Maintenance & Installation Sheet step 3. E.g. the finial has an attached rod and no set screw 11 exists. Can you provide matching instructions for T4799? How to attach finial to the diverter?
What is the GPM of the faucet? I only see the GPM for the handheld and I want to know how long it will take to fill the tub.
Thank you for your question, Kathy. The T4799 spout does not have a flow restrictor so the flow rate will depend entirely on the pressure in your home. This should be between 15-20 gallons per minute at 40-80 psi.

How do I get a replacement black rod that the finial attaches to for the spray diverter. The new replacement finial won't fit on the previous rod because the final screw broke off broke off in the rod. You sent parts but still need the rod.
