Cheap plastic parts inside are a fatal flaw
I wanted to replace something similar to this from a cheaper no-name brand which was leaking. I figured Delta quality would be an upgrade, and the spout itself seems nice. I unscrewed the old faucet, and saw that I have a 1/2" threaded pipe coming out of the wall. This new spout has an adapter for that, a black plastic 1/2" to 3/4" bushing. But the threads on that bushing stripped when I tried to screw the new faucet on. Now I have a nice Delta tub spout which is completely useless because of the failure of a stupid little ring of plastic.

Installed 2, both broke
Two of these faucets were installed in my tub, both of them broke and water leaked into the wall. The plastic pipe connection split on both. Do not buy.

Internal plastic thread connector faulty
Like the other reviews, the plastic female plastic connector cracked twice during installing the spout. It happened with myself installing as well as a plumber. Corners were definitely cut on this small plastic piece that renders the entire part useless. It wasn’t even being tightened very firmly when it cracked either. I would hope and expect this would be under warranty by Delta.

Internal Plastic Adapter Stripped
The internal plastic adapter stripped when putting it on. I was hand-tightening it and gave it one last tug and it stripped.

Internal plastic thread connector not sturdy enoug
Professional and highly experienced plumbers have twice tried to install this product. Each time the internal "plastic" female connector has cracked. The item was a replacement for an equivalent item that had a metal internal female connector that allowed for the appropriate tightening of the connection. I cannot recommend this product until such time as the internal threaded pipe is replaced with something more durable than the gray plastic piping.

Decent item for the price.
It is a nice item. The attachment for a hand held shower head is a good addition. However, the plastic pipe connection inside is easily crossthreaded or cracked if you tighten it just a hair too much..

Do you offer a model compatible with part RP12307?
We have an existing faucet we'd like to replace that's compatible with the adapter RP12307 since it's already attached to the pipe. Do you offer a faucet with a shower outlet like this one that will fit it?
Hi JCS90, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately none of our tub spouts that have the hand shower outlet use the RP33794 or RP12307 adapters. The models U1010-PK and U1072-PK both offer a slip on feature.

question about U1010 and U1010L
my bathtub pipe is threaded pipe and the length is 4" from wall to end of the pipe.
I saw a review from amazon that these products have much shorter length inside than it's spec.
I guess it is shorter because of the side shower hose connector.
anyway seems your product information is not correct so I'd like to know if my pipe fits to any of these two product.
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # U1010-PK is threaded into the end of the spout. I do not believe that your 4 inch pipe is going to be long enough for any of the models. You will need to add to your piping. Included here are the spec sheets for the models that you have inquired about.

water diverting
I want to be able to divert the water from the tub to both the fixed shower head on the wall, the handheld shower head or both shower heads at the same time.
Will this model do that?
If not, is there another model that will meet my needs?

Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, this unit will divert only to the hand shower hose connection on the side of the spout.
For the setup you have described, you can use a standard diverter tub spout and a 3-setting diverter. You can install a 3-setting diverter in the wall with the R11000 and a T118 diverter trim, or you can install a shower arm diverter such as the U4923-PK or U4920-PK.

My current spout has the hand shower attachment, but it is pointing up..all of the ones pictured are pointed down, Can they they be changed to go up?

Is this Diverter compatible with a RP12307 adapter?

Thank you for your question. This tub spout is not designed to work with the RP12307 adapter. It will slip onto 1/2″ copper pipe or thread onto 1/2″ or 3/4″ IPS.
